i think rock block is the BEST place to buy stuff for your rig. Their pedals are fantastic and high quality i bought a Keely Compressor there about 2 weeks ago they told me how it works, what it does, how do change the attack and input level (this is the one with sustain and level only!!), and even BETTER they let me play through it with out them bothering me. Also when i was set up the employee turned it up to a very nice volume so i could hear what it really did (kind of loud for personal taste). I love it here my favorite store in Nashville and I've lived hear for more then 12 years. The service is great by the way they will help you with what ever you need and they know that instruments are supposed to be played and not pampered. They will recommend anything for your taste and style. This same employee found the pickups i fell IN LOVE WITH. I can't wait to go back again I should be going there some time this week to buy some George L cables!! I'M SO EXCITED TO GO BACK AGAIN!!!!

long story short... ROCK BLOCK ARE A BUNCH OF CROOKS!! AVOID GOING THERE WHENEVER POSSIBLE. i have been screwed there 3 separate times. 1. i sold them a rickenbacker bass guitar. they offered me $475 for it. it's low, but normal if you're selling to a music store for straight up cash. i bought it new in 2001 for $1100. i accepted (regrettably now). dude comes back in with $460 cash in his hand. he asks "is 460 okay?". I say, "no, you said $475". i talked them into giving me a couple of packs of strings, probably worth 7 bucks total, even though they jipped me $15. 2. i had them work on one of my guitars. they originally told me it would be done in a couple of days. after calling them DAILY and hassling them, the guitar was FINALLY done after a month. all i needed was some soldering done.. i also wanted them to order a backplate for the guitar. when i brought it in, they told me everything would end up costing $50-$75. i came in to pick up the guitar and the total was $127.50. they had taken out my pots and replaced them without even asking me. not cool. 3. my buddy jon tried to sell them a gibson les paul signed by zakk wylde (pretty high profile guitar player if you don't know who he is). they said "not worth much.. we can give you some equipment for it". they offered him about $200 worth of pedals for this brand new gibson les paul signed by zakk wylde. cripes. 4. this past weekend, i needed a 12ax7 preamp tube for my guitar head. they had the kind i needed, and i was in a pinch, so i purchased the tiny little tube for $30.54 (and i've been regretting it ever since). i thought that was a little steep, so i went home and found out i could get one anywhere else for no more than 12 bucks. i tried to return it for a refund, but they WILL NOT give a cash or credit refund. FOR ANYTHING. NO RETURNS. i have had NOTHING but HORRIBLE experiences there. EVERYTHING is WAY OVERPRICED, including the services they offer. if i could give no stars, i would.
