What People Are Saying About Havana Lounge - CLOSED

The Scene – Havana Lounge's decor is a variation on a Cuban theme mingled with retro ornamentation and cigar chic. The theme doesn't overpower the room, or the vibe--which is friendly, comfortable and smooth. The centerpiece of the bar is a gigantic walk-in humidor for those desiring a smoke. – – The Draw – Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays have DJs spinning plenty of old school, attracting a hipster set. The rest of the crowd includes after-work businessmen in suits enjoying cocktails and cigars. It's well-mixed and amiable, with an age range from 25 to about 40.
The biggest joke of a bar in Nashville
by krdgop
On this past saturday a I came to Havana Lounge with a group after the Toucan Party for an after party cocktail. After entering we found service to be terrible (and for that matter impossible to get a drink). The Door staff is very rude and unprofessional, as well. If you want to go out in downtown Nashville, this is definately a place to avoid.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Staff's Attitude, Service
Least Fav Place Downtown

I used to enjoy going to Havana for a drink after work or on the weekends, but since they have added the "dance club" I won't ever go back. If you'd like to be in someplace sweaty and nasty OR if you want to spend your evenings hanging out with a bunch of thugs, though, this is definitely a place for you.
- Pros: N/A
- Cons: Clientele, Crowded
More like "Havana Steam Room"

Do not try to go to this place on the weekend. It smells like a locker room because they pack so many people onto the dance floor and around the bar. During the winter, you can literally feel the body heat from the bar as you walk up the stairs to the entrance. This used to be Nashville's trendiest bar, but now its just a huge testosterone fest.
- Pros: the back bar, good bartenders
- Cons: lines, sweaty people, lame weekend music
The Details on Havana Lounge - CLOSED
What to Drink:
Martinis in their many incarnations are the beverages of choice, although any 1950s favorite is a popular choice, including Manhattans, gin and tonics, and Metropolitans.
When to Go:
If you want to enjoy good food without cigar smoke clouding your judgment, reserve a table in the early evening before the smoking crowd takes over.
