Safari Pet Resort-Ruthies winner for Favorite Kennel and Best Place to treat your pet for 2008. Congrats to Safari on their newest awards this year! I am so pleased with each and every employee that works there. Everyone is so down to earth and they really do care for your pet! My pet really enjoys daycamp and I love to read all the report cards that she brings home to me. If something ever happens to my pet while she is there, the Supervisor will come and speak with you and explain what is exactly happening. I have never be so happy with a facility as I have been with Safari Pet Resort!! Guess that's why they are always winning awards! They are that good and more!

Lilly loves Safari!!!!. Lilly is a Yorkshire Terrier weighing 4 lbs and almost 3 years old. Her first visit to Safari was in January when mom and dad went on a vacation!!! She absolutely loved Safari and I could tell when i went to pick her up. She could care less about us! She went right to the gate of the "play room" to look at the other dogs and try to play. It took her a day or so to adjust to being the only dog again and I think she would prefer to be with the group as long as possible! It is worth every penny and I have researched for several months before feeling comfortable leaving Lilly. She is currently staying at their facility during thanksgiving and again during xmas time! Lilly was calm and happy when I dropped her off a few days ago and I'm excited for all her new adventures. Believe, me, great place for all sizes....I drive an hour to get to the place because I know I have peace of mind when I'm gone.

Avoid this place!!. I took my blue heeler to Safari Pet Resort for a two night stay while my husband and I attended an out of town wedding. It was the worst experience of her life! We arrived to bring her home 10 minutes before the appointed pick up time, and it was literally pouring rain outside. I ran up to the door, eager to greet my beloved doggie, knocked on the glass door, and was told by the employee who looked out : "It's not time to pick up the pets." It was pouring rain, I'm 10 minutes early, and I'm told by a rude employee that I'm not allowed to get my dog yet! When they finally decided to let the customers in (most of whom were waiting outside in the rain holding umbrellas) I was appalled at her condition! She was so stressed from her stay she had started losing her fur! She was so hoarse she could barely speak, and her mouth was extremely dry, as if she hadn't had any water to drink. Her beautiful, normally shiny and clean coat, was matted and dusty. She was a nervous wreck when she saw me, and she appeared to be terrified. I've read what the owners wrote: "We do feel it is unfortunate, however, to occasionally encounter false or unsubstantiated statements on some local postings." I can assure you that what I have written is not false. I don't know what they did or didn't do while my dog was at their facility. But I can tell you this, my extremely intelligent dog has not been the same since her experience there. In my opinion, this place doesn't even deserve one star!

BEST GROOMING AND DAYCAMP, I wish I could stay there myself!. I have been taking my dog to Safari for two years now. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the owners and staff are so interested in my dog--they are so excited to greet him when he comes in for daycamp or a groom and they even remember his name. They are so open and friendly, you can even sign up to view your dog's playtime on a webcam, and I've used this service many times--you know a company is true to its word when you can watch them on video anytime you want. I highly recommend Safari Pet Resort to both dog and cat lovers, they really love animals and it's apparent in everything they do. Safari came so highly recommended to me, and now I know why. I will always recommend Safari as the highest quality grooming and boarding facilty. Thanks, Safari staff--keep up the good work!

BEST PLACE EVER!!!!!!. I have been coming to Safari Pet Resort for years and LOVE IT!!! The owners and staff are so helpful and genuinely concerned about the dogs and cats there. The grooming is top quality! My dogs love daycamp where they can play with their little friends! I have never experienced such wonderful service as I have at Safari Pet Resort. You would be crazy to want to take you pets anywhere else!!!

Dog's Best Friend Away From Home. Congratulations to the Safari Staff for the 2007 Favorite Kennel Award! My dog loves coming to see all his buddies in daycamp and especially likes the story hour. Thank you for the "arf work" at Yappyhour...only a mother could love it! Keep up the great work!

VOTED BEST KENNEL 4 YEARS AND RUNNING BY RUTHERFORD COUNTY!!!!! I LOVE IT. I have been going to Safari Pet Resort for a very long time and love all the high class services they offer. Grooming, Boarding, dog training, Doggie Daycamp, Free social events...and more! The staff i have encountered, have been true animal lovers and almost family to me and my loved pets. I love the new idea of the new play schedule which has actual daycare events such as swim time, exercise time,story time, game time and a sing and dance time...etc. My pets always come home tired and happy from a great adventure they had at Safari Pet Resort. I love the Bungalow Suites with the flat screen tv's and VIP treatment for all the pets! Great hours, staff, and services!!!!! It's worth the extra $ to know that my pet is having a terrific time while Im at work and know that they are safe and happy with actual animal lovers like me.

GO Safari....You keep up the GREAT WORK!!!!!! ; )

My scotties love Safari!. We have been taking our scotties to Safari for the past 2 years and have been so happy. My boys can be alittle head strong at times, but the staff there is so patient. Since they are a little more on the aggressive side, they cannot go to daycamp since they might start a rugus there, but the staff is so kind to do seperate TLC time with just them when they stay overnight. They did try them in Daycamp at first, but were honest with me that in the daycamp environment with other dogs, mine were being a little too aggressive. I do appreciate their honesty and the TLC gives them "special time" together. I love the resort feel and appreciate that the staff goes all out to ensure that each customer's needs are met. I will never go anywhere else.

Best Pet Facility. Over the past twenty five plus years, Safari Pet Resort has been caring for my pets. I have personally known the owners both professionally and personally for the same length of time. One of my friend's daughters has also worked at Safari over the past years, so not only do I know the resort form a customer viewpoint but from her daughter's behind the scenes advantage as well. We have had all of our 6 dogs at different times there for services over these many years. The boarding services are excellent, the grooming is truly way above any in the area, and the daycamp is a perfect place for just a day, or in our case, during a lengthy family illness. Obviously, many others feel the same as I do as they have won the Ruthie awards every year that it has been offered for pet facilities. I personally know that the onwers go beyond the norm for standing behind their work , and my own vet has confirmed this to me. He recommends them without reserve. I can most certainly vouch for their credibility and cannot imagine what this community would be like without them setting such a high standard for pet service, non medical. Kudos to all the staff as well...they are great and help to make Safari the place for our precious little ones! Please go by for a tour if you are looking for a caring place for your pets as they will take you throughout the entire facility and answer any questions before you even take your pet there. I don't think you will be disappointed!!
