Tips for Bell Jewelers

April 22, 2013

Battery replacement for two Swiss Army watches. One was a new, still-in-the-box Victorinox. I took it to them because I didn't want to risk scratching it myself. So, of course, what do they do? Scratch the back plate. When I complained, they tried to buff it out but did such a hamhanded job that they ruined it. I insisted that they replace the backplate, which they initially agreed to, but then later they simply did a better job of buffing it. They wouldn't do any more. Close examination still reveals the scratch marks.

They told me they wouldn't charge me for the battery replacements, but when I checked my credit card statement, they had.

Fortunately it was not an expensive watch, but still, very annoying.

Good Jewelery Store, maybe not the cheapest. I had my wife's 30 wedding anniversary gift custom made here and they did an excellent job. They were knowledgeable and helpful.

Friendly & knowledgeable, Voted Best Jewelery Store in Murfreesboro for over 10 Years. They are so friendly, very knowledgeable people who makes the whole experience of buying a diamond ring easy and fun. They take the time to make sure you know exactly what to look for in a quality stone and then helps you through every step of the process. The ring Bells made is beautiful and my fiance loves it.

Customer Service stinks!. I walked into Bell Jewelers with a ring (and appraisal from two different jewelers for $10,000) to have the stone reset into another setting. The original ring was heavy platinum with a carat of matching trillion cut diamonds. After consulting with the owner/certified gemologist, Greg Tidwell, my sales consultant told me he would get back to me and let me know what he could do. Greg promptly came out and stated he would give me an even trade for a nondescript $300 retail white gold setting and would "set it for free". Shocked at his response, I asked if he meant this setting only and he stated yes. I quickly left the store and will never return. Just a warning for you savvy shoppers out there! :)
