Too expensive for bad food

Just moved to Murfreesboro and I heard that Toot's was a place to go, but I heard that it was not as good as it used to be. Walked in and the atmosphere was neat, and it looked fun. By the time we sat down, we were bumped by two employees who could not say "excuse me," and no one spoke to us at all.

Menu had a great selection and the prices were good.

Server was pretty, but not friendly. The food was cold and the french fries were cooked in old oil giving them a grey appearance. However, when I got my check, it was $43 for 2 adults and 2 kids. I was shocked!! They cahrge for side dishes, extra ranch dressing (this one really made me mad since they forget it and had to bring it out after I was done eating). I am surprised they did not watch me use the salt shaker and charge me per shake.

Good Atmosphere! Great Daily Specials!

Wednesday is my favorite day at Toots: 3.99 Chicken Finger Basket Day! Everyday they have daily lunch specials and the food is always hot and fresh whenever I have gone during lunch. The servers have been quick and attentive most of my visits. The fun and friendly atmosphere is what keeps me coming back weekly. I am a regular at Toots!!

Stuff You Only Eat When You're Drinking

Toots is by far one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. It's fried foods and burgers. I enjoy a good burger, but these are average. Even the fries are soggy and frozen-tasting. My boyfriend ordered ribs, which tasted like they had been re-heated. I know it's not meant to be an upscale restaurant, but the food resembles stuff you'd buy in the frozen section of the grocery store and cook after a night out at the bars. The wait staff are mostly college kids who you have to ask to refill your drink. I would never eat there again.
