Too expensive for bad food.
Just moved to Murfreesboro and I heard that Toot's was a place to go, but I heard that it was not as good as it used to be. Walked in and the atmosphere was neat, and it looked fun. By the time we
sat down, we were bumped by two employees who could not say "excuse me," and no one spoke to us at all.
Menu had a great selection and the prices were good.
Server was pretty, but not friendly. The food was cold and the french fries were cooked in old oil giving them a grey appearance. However, when I got my check, it was $43 for 2 adults and 2 kids. I was shocked!! They cahrge for side dishes, extra ranch dressing (this one really made me mad since they forget it and had to bring it out after I was done eating). I am surprised they did not watch me use the salt shaker and charge me per shake.…
Good Atmosphere! Great Daily Specials!. Wednesday is my favorite day at Toots: 3.99 Chicken Finger Basket Day! Everyday they have daily lunch specials and the food is always hot and fresh whenever I have gone during lunch. The servers have been quick and attentive most of my visits. The fun and friendly atmosphere is what keeps me coming back weekly. I am a regular at Toots!!…
Stuff You Only Eat When You're Drinking. Toots is by far one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. It's fried foods and burgers. I enjoy a good burger, but these are average. Even the fries are soggy and frozen-tasting. My boyfriend ordered ribs, which tasted like they had been re-heated. I know it's not meant to be an upscale restaurant, but the food resembles stuff you'd buy in the frozen section of the grocery store and cook after a night out at the bars. The wait staff are mostly college kids who you have to ask to refill your drink. I would never eat there again.…
Non-Smoking, poor Burgers. last visit on 8-10-2007 I am speaking only of the restaurant in Smyrna, which by the way is voluntarily completely smoke free. I like a good grill burger, old fashioned. The first burger I had there years ago was fantastic, every one since then has been undercooked. I have sent back to the kitchen 3 burgers and I won't be doing it again. I won't be going back. The waitresses are okay with service on the front end, but seem to forget to ever come back, even for payment. I am a non-smoker who prefers a smoking restaurant because the patrons are generally less a--hole to other patrons. Non smokers are self-righteous! But Toot's still have the crazy smoking fans going full blast-felt like I was in a wind tunnel. Not impressed and not going back.…
Not as good as it used to be.
I used to eat here in college, and I loved it!! I moved away and came back to a nearby town. I was excited to go to it again, and I eagerly drove the 25 minutes to the restaurant. It was horrible.
However, I thought I would give it a second try, as everyone has a bad day. It was even worse. The food has changed. The onion rings used to be hand breaded like the menu says. They are still hand breaded, but the breaded when the hand touches the machine ata factory far away. The food had freezer burn. Their food used to be fresh.
Service both times was average at my table, but try and get them to speak to you when you walk in or as you pass them. It is not going to happen. The servers used to be pretty, but they look quite bad. You cannot all look like Jessica Alba, so don't wear shorts like she can. I do not want to see the cellulite at the back of your thighs.
Atmosphere is the same, even though their has been some remodeling since I came here last.
The worst was the pricing. Toot's used to be affordable. For me and a friend, we spent over thirty dollars on two entree's with fries an appetizer and soft drinks. I can get this at a "nice" restaurant.
I wish I knew what happened here.…
