was a good place to have car serviced but seems like its gone downhill fast after alexanders sold it. the people I trusted have been let go or they were smart and left. several decent mechanics are gone and younger novices replaced them. who manages this and who watches over? looks like the out of state new company has'nt a clue how to run car dealers in tennessee. maybe they should hire qualified management, I do not know many people who still use this place for anything but warranty work as the new culture is a source of great umbrage.
@bobbyjoe1144. You are clueless. For staters a serpentine belt is a maintance item and is never covered under warranty and when your window stopped working it was after the warranty had expired. For you to imply they did not want to fix it under warranty is ridiculous. They get paid either way. It sounds like you were wanting to get something for nothing. Get a life
Stay Away from Ford of Murfreesboro – Bad Service Deparment Experience.
Two-year old Expedition had a barely workable driver side window and the serpentine belt made a screaming noise for 15 minutes every time it was started. Was told the bad window was due to tree sap, even though I park it in a garage, and that they could find nothing wrong with the serpentine belt.
Just past the 3-year warranty cut-off, the bad window stopped working in the down position and the serpentine belt was as bad as ever. They immediately said they would fix it, then charged me over $650 to do so. Service Department's Scott said I had "dumb luck" and refused to do anything to make it right.
Then, right after leaving, the Service Engine Soon light came on in the vehicle and I immediately brought it back. After 2-3 hours they called and said they had forgotten to connect a plug while installing the new belt.
I will never go there for service again, nor will I ever buy another vehicle from Ford of Murfreesboro. I sent an e-mail to dlee@fordofmurfreesboro(dot)com, but so far have not heard anything back. I don't expect the work to be done for free. I am willing to pay a fair share, but $650 is gouging in my book.
They really should have fixed the window and belt when I first brought in the vehicle when it was under warranty. Scott's excuse was that they had to have a broken part to show Ford, so that they could justfiy what they did. Hogwash. It's just poor service, unless your warranty runs out and you are fool enough to pay their gougy prices.
These people care about dollars, not customers.
The best bodyshop in Tennesse – The best body shop in town to repair your vehicule,
Oustanding costumer service ever see in my live.
the all staff very professional, serius and very honest.
all the time in comunication with the costumer about when the car wiil ready, and all the feedback from the insurance company. his Manager david graf have a great team, EJ Lee and Cindy Kimbro.
great, until I bought the vehicle... – I was initially pleased with Alexander Ford when I first purchased my vehicle. Upon purchase, I was promised in writing a new button for the mirror switch on my car. I was told the button was on order. After a week, I checked back an the button had still not arrived. I was told it would be in soon, or one would be taken from another vehicle. After another week, I was told it was on back order, then promptly hung up on. Now it has been a month, and I still have no button and the seller is ignoring my phone calls. Don't do business here. They take your money, then leave out to dry.
Thank goodness, an honest easy experience! – This place is unbelievable!
I purchased 3 new Ford's in one day, mainly because of how friendly and kind the staff was.
I even received a FREE 3 yr, 30000 mile maintenance on all 3 new Ford's!!!
Best dealership I have ever visited!!!
After the sale service horrible – Alexander Ford Murfreesboro has the worst sales service, especially after the sale. Overcharged me for my new tag and took way too long to get it. Won't return calls. Paid for Certified Preowned inspection and warranty and they did not do what the inspection contract says they were to do. They are too much hassle to deal with and I do not like not getting what I pay for or being overcharged. I will not do business with them again. Too bad I spent so much money with them on the purchase of my vehicle.
Used these guys 3 times – I have used Alexander Ford to purchase 3 new vehicles over the last few years with absolutely no hitch. I run a Tree and Landscape Business here in Nashville, so the trucks we need are to say the least, a little odd and are also custom orders to specific spec. The time that I have spent at the dealership has been excellent along with all the other things that go into buying a new vehicle. I have found that I even still talk to my salesmen even a year later after our last purchase, most of the time just to say hi. I do find some of these other reviews a little disturbing due to the fact I have a hard time imagining anything but the great service I was awarded. I am not discrediting anyones response to these manors, but simply letting others know that I have been using Alexander Ford over the last 4 years and never once had a problem and will continue to use them for our vehicle needs. I highly recommend these guys!
Worst Dealer/Service Department Ever – I went here to look at a car. I let them see my car for trade-in estimations. After test driving their car overnight, I told them I would need to think about it. I didn't feel the price was the best I could get. They told me they had already sold my car to the wholsesaler. After hours of arguing, I gave up and purchased the car. I left feeling taken advantage of and mad. The dealers all looked like typical car dealers; slicked back hair, etc. One even asked me out...how unprofessional.
I then had to have my car worked on and told them what I wanted done. They did about $300 more of work and then told me that since they did it, I had to pay for it. I had my brakes looked at and supposedly replaced. Two weeks later, my brakes went out. I called to make an appointment, but they said they couldn't get my car in for two weeks. I thought that was ridiculous for brakes. I took my car to Dunn in Madison the next day, who told me that Alexander did terrible work on my brakes.
As a last experience, I ordered a headlight form them. I tried to use my frequent buyer card to get points, but the receptionist in the parts department got crappy with me and told me I could only do that if I had the headlight replaced by them...like I want to pay them to do something that takes 2 minutes. I told her she was rude as usual and vowed to never go back there again. All they do is ruin my day.
I recently had my vehicle repaired at Alexander Ford Collision center, and it was the worst experience ever. My car had about 5K worth of damage and when i got it back the repairs were so poor, that my insurance company that had originaly recomended the shop had to pay again for the repairs to be corrected at another collision center, they even had a chance to fix the problems and could not do so.
