I go to a local church, and some
sundays I am in charge of getting donut holes for my sunday school. Now as high schoolers (and a lack of a better term) we call these donut holes crack donuts. We know that they are not really crack, but the taste is so fantastic, it is almost to die for. Multiple times while walking into the room, I hear my friends saying they have had a large breakfast and they couldn't eat anymore, and then the donuts show up. Within thirty minutes the donuts are all gone, and sometimes the fullest members eat the most. This hands down one of the greatest donut shops I have ever eaten at.

Best Doughnuts in America!.
I grew up in Murfreesboro, and no matter where I've gone I've never had a doughnut as good as one from Donut Country. In response to mboroamber's claim that their service has declined, they are an extremely popular place and if you get there after their rush hour they are usually out of some very popular doughnuts. They aren't Krispy Kreme, their doughnuts are actually made by hand so they can't just turn on a machine and make more. That's why they are open 24 hours, they make fresh doughnuts every morning. Nothing's better than a 3 am Donut Country run and getting a warm, fresh doughnut. If you're in Murfreesboro and you haven't stopped by Donut Country yet you are missing out on a great experience.
The owner has always hung out at the counter and talked with the clientele. It's a classic hangout and the regulars are always friendly and apt to strike up conversation.
Even if you're in Nashville, these doughnuts are worth the drive. They are exceptional and you'll never be satisfied with Krispy Kreme after you've tasted a Donut Country doughnut.

What a let down!.
As a long time resident in Murfreesboro, I have been going to Donut Country since I was a child and always remember positive experiences. However, lately they have fallen short from their past reputation of a great quality donut shop. The last five times (at least) that I have stopped in they have been out of any donuts I'm interested in. I start by asking for one donut, they dont have it, I ask for another, they don't have it and I end up just asking "what do you have???" today they were out of everything but bavarian cream filled, and boston cream filled, and they had one chocolate covered glazed donut.
When they actually DO have donuts, they are awesome quality, and if you go in the morning time the ladies are so sweet (any other time is normally a rude associate that seems bothered that you're there).
All together, very disappointing to see this business go from a great one to one that doesnt even serve its purpose..that is what the shop is for, right? To make donuts?...

Awesome donuts and more plus 24 hour drive through!.
It is not uncommon to see the owner sitting with the regulars at the counter watching news and drinking coffee. It's great food plus the people there are so nice. My kids love it and I love it too!

These are some of the best donuts i have ever had. I go about 2 times a week and every time i try something new. All there donuts are great. The dutch crumb is me and my friends favorite. also the fact that its 24 hours is awesome. after the library closes i can go here and study with a donut!
