Tips for Nissan of Rivergate

March 25, 2013

I went in last weekend. It was busy, but I was done within a hour. I have to get some work done, but it cost to much. They said I could do a little at a time. They showed me what was recommend and then how much for only a couple things at one time. So that's what I did. I didn't feel riped off and only got what I really needed done. THANKS!

Very Happy.. We have two Nissan's and have had great experiences with both in there service department. Betsy is very professional and friendly, never pushy. I highly recommend them.

Six months later:

Another awesome visit to Rivergate Nissan today. Thanks to Betsy's help we were able to acquire a refund from a different repair shop that did terrible work before finding this Nissan store.

Worth the Drive. We drove across town to check them out after test driving a new Nissan at another dealer. The salesman at the other place was a bit pushy and wasn't able to offer us a good price. Nissan of Rivergate gave us a great deal and the salesman was more laid back, which I really liked.

Great People, Reliable Cars. We had a great buying experience there recently. The salesperson was extra nice and knew a lot about the cars we were looking at and gave us plenty of space to make up our minds. Our new Nissan is wonderful. Our older one got serviced there and they did a good job keeping it running, even though it had high miles. We will buy our next new car there, definitely.

My Car Buying Experience. I’ve been thinking about getting a new car for myself for a while. I visited a Nissan store closest to my house, but did not really like the people, the salesman were always staring at me, pressuring me without even saying a word five hundred feet away, so I decided to look for cars the modern way, via internet and I am glad I did. I found the best price for a Rogue and although it was pretty far from home it was worth the trip! My husband and I were greeted by a very kind gentleman, Dewayne Brock who only seemed interested in what I wanted. My husband enjoyed the test drive and I got the car I wanted for the price I wanted. This place gets a five star for the good experience and pleasant vibes from the people. I will be coming back in a few months when my husbands lease expires.

People who care! I'd go no where else..EVER. This was not only the best car buying experience I've yet to experience but it was also a sense of hope for me. I was in stationed in Iraq when I began inquiring about the car when I reached Justin Andrelski. He helped me with pricing although I wasn't due back in the states for a few months. Other dealers told me to contact them when I returned, if they even responded. This gentleman went out of his way to ship me a poster of my new Z for motivation and a brochure for my informational questions. The minute I returned he picked me up from the airport so I could purchase that car that helped me through some of the rough times. He will forever be in my memory for this experience. My mother and sister have also purchased from him and I will send many many more. If you are thinking of going elsewhere, you'd be making a HUGE mistake! Go to a place where you are as important as the family they go home to. Thanks Nissan of Rivergate and Thanks Justin. God BLESS‎

Love the Nissan; mediocre service. The sales process was slightly above average. I still had to haggle back in the finance office, and the lady back there seemed a little snobbish.

When I picked up the vehicle, it was night time, and I didn't notice until the next day that the guys who waxed the car didn't buff it properly, leaving hairline swirly scratches all over it.

The service techs are only there M-F until 5:00 p.m., so you pretty much have to take off from work to get anything done. Kinda pitiful.

New Cars or Race Cars?. I would like to start by telling you of my past job which gives you an idea of my credibility.I use to work for Manheim Nashville, formerly known as Nashville Auto Auction.I have driven every production vehicle with the exception of exotics such as ferrari, lamborghini, and lotus. While working here i also met dealers from around the US.upon visiting this Nissan dealership we were greated at the front door by what seemed to be a young, but generous sales rep.I already knew which model of car i wanted and only wanted to get a qoute that day. When i said this to the rep he laughed in my face and said, assuming that he was the only person that worked around cars," Well, don't ya think you have to test drive a car before you decide?"I figured i would let this go and say nothing besides what can a test drive hurt?Well little did i know.He pulled the car up front and my mother and i hopped in after paper work and he drove out of the lot to a place with less traffic. We switched seats and i became the driver. After putting my seatbelt on i never expected him to say what he did when we were ready to go.We were sitting at the end of a dead end and he said to "kick it."I laughed as i thought this was a joke however he did not. he looked at me calm as ever and said i'm serious.i didn't wait for him to change his mind. The reason for this was to show me the capabilities of the car supposedly because it has the best acceleration of any car in its class. After the test drive he asked how i would go about paying for such an expensive car like i was of a lower class than he. after saying that i would trade my existing car in and pay with cash up front he tried his best saying that making payments would be much better. In other words he was saying "My bonus will be much larger considering all the interest we will make off of you." Needless to say i did not purchase from them and if everyone drove the cars like he told me to then i feel sorry for whoever owns any car test driven from there

Awful experience. I have had nothing but headaches with this dealership. The actual purchasing process took nearly 4 hours (on a very not busy Monday afternoon) and I could not pick up my car until the next day. Everything was fine with the car except that I noticed that they had estimated that the car (which was coming from another dealership) would have less than 50 miles on it but rather it had nearly 100. I had issues with the financing/titling people which has resulted in even more hassles and headaches. I honestly don't think that anyone knows what they are doing at that dealership and that they are only interested in making the sale and getting their money rather than having a happy customer. I will never again buy a vehicle from this dealership and I am definitely taking it elsewhere to get serviced.

Just okay. I bought a new Altima from this dealer recently and the experience was just okay. The sales people were nice, they weren't too pushy about buying and I was able to get a good price. However, the whole sales process from start to finish took about 5 hours, and this was on a Saturday and they had lots of people working. After we sealed the deal they were to detail my car...which too 2 hours and came back not waxed as promised, and water spots and streaks all over the car. Then on the final walk around I noticed a large 2 inch scratch on the hood that I previously did not notice. The sales manager said he would give me a voucher to have that repaired and just to bring the car back with the note and they would take care of it. When I looked at the voucher they wanted $100 to repair the scratch...on the brand new car that I had not even driven off of the lot yet....please, that's BS! Then I had to bring the car in for service on a Saturday and while it was being services they screwed up my emergency brake then told me they wouldn't be able to fix it because they were all going home in 10 minutes and it would have to wait until Monday... I had to get rather mean with them and they finally took care of it while I was standing there. I have since started getting my car services at Nashville Nissan downtown.
