In Short – The first International House of Pancakes opened in a suburb of Los Angeles in 1958 serving a menu of hearty breakfast favorites. Today the restaurant still serves its signature dishes like the original buttermilk pancakes and pigs in blankets: sausage links wrapped in hotcakes. Other breakfast items include waffles, omelets, French toast and crepes. Non-breakfast offerings include sandwiches, burgers, entree-sized salads, and dinners like T-bone steak, pot roast and herb-roasted chicken.

- The kids menu has favorites for the 12-and-under crowd like the Funny Face (chocolate chip pancake with a whipped-topping smile), chicken strips with fries and the Silver Five: five silver dollar-sized pancakes served with an egg and bacon.

Bad Service, Terrible Follow Up

Don't go to this restaurant if you value quality customer service.
We waited patiently for everything, from getting a waiter to receiving our food. Meanwhile, newly arriving patrons were being immediately served all around us.
When I talked to the franchise owner (who, by the way took almost two weeks to respond to my feedback), he had a condescending attitude about my experience, to the point where he mocked me when I I talked about my interaction with one of the staff.
Take your family to another location if it's at all possible.
- Pros: There's always a clear path to the exit door
- Cons: Slow service, staff doesn't seem to care

Totally inconsistent

We have gone to IHOP's over the years but this one is the worst. We have gone to this one several times at times of the day during our remodel of our kitchen. The food would be cold or frozen... attitudes of waitress left little to be desired.

Good service, great management

I have been to this IHOP about 20 times and I have never been disappointed. Look, you go to IHOP for breakfast and sanwiches; not surf and turf. The Indian guy who is either the owner or manager does a fantastic job and I think the guy must live there because he is always there. They always have plenty of wait help and the food arrives quickly and cheerfully. I love IHOP's pancakes and assorted other breakfast items. They have good weekday specials too which most other IHOP's don't have.
