AWFUL Cust Svc - EVERY TIME!!. Everyone knows this store is always a complete dump - mess everywhere, but that's expected, and you just have to know you're going to wade thru stuff to find what you need.

But lately, the customer service is getting worse and worse! This time, I went to check on custom frames for a couple of pieces. I wanted chunky, funky cool frames and they only had a couple to choose from. The first one had a black band on it, so Donna, the salesperson kept saying, "This one's out of stock." I had to ask about four times to understand if that meant forever or just backordered. She was so ready to just be done with me and get back to her paperwork.

Once she realized I was not going away, she attempted to show me about three other frame choices, none of which were deep enough for the gallery wrap frame on my pieces, so she was trying to makeshift some kind of weird frame under the frame to make it work. It was hideous. We tried to make something from their products work, but when nothing would, I asked if she could recommend a frame shop close by. She said she never went anywhere but here (meaning the Michael's store). What an unhelpful answer! I just spent half an hour trying to make something in your store work, but if you can't accommodate me, at least be kind enough to suggest I try such-and-such place. I will not do business with them ever again, and believe me, I buy a lot of junk like theirs for promos and giveaways in my business. Not from them anymore!!!

Funny thing is, I had just left Hobby Lobby, where they had what I wanted, but the wrong color. THEY had told me to try Michael's, and if Michael's couldn't get me what I wanted, they offered to make the frame in the other color, let me take it home and spray paint it, then bring it back to them for installation. Guess you know where I'm headed today!!!! What a huge difference!!!

Poor management. Have tried several times to do business at this michael's in rivergate. Disappointed everytime I walk in there. Messy store. Poor management. Very unhelpful! Tried to get a mat for our picture frame and could barely get the lady behind the counter to help us and when she did she pointed us in the direction of the mat cutters to cut our own mat. Had a question about other items and needed help. Waited around for 10 minutes waiting for someone and they never came after we asked for help. I'll never do business with them again!!
