Editorial Review for Cedars of Lebanon State Park – by Mark Carroll
In Short
Named for a biblical forest, this park encompasses the largest red cedar forest remaining in the United States. Beyond the park's 831 recreational acres, an additional 8,056 acres are designated as a protected nature area. Along the trails, massive moss-covered boulders hint at the surreal, limestone landscape. Thickly wooded paths abruptly open into rock-strewn glades carpeted with wildflowers, then meander back through a field of phacelia. Bikers and hikers alike will love this wooded paradise.
