Worth The Drive. My wife and I frequently leave church in Brentwood on Sunday and drive to Lebanon to eat at the Sunset. We have NEVER had bad service or bad food. It is hands-down the best meat-and-three in the Nashville area, at least in my opinion. I certainly wouldn't drive from Brentwood to Lebanon for bad food or bad service. The food is great and you can't beat the prices, either.

Worst Service Ever. I ate in this restaurant last night and had the worst service I have ever experienced in a restaurant. I was meeting family members and was looking forward to a pleasant evening, but instead was greeted by an extremely rude, grumpy server, with a "herd-them-up, move-them-out" attitude. She failed to ask us after our meal if we would like to order dessert. When we told her we would like dessert she complained very loudly that she had already written up our ticket and would have to write up another one--a complaint that took longer, we decided, that writing up the ticket. I don't know how this restaurant stays in business with this type of server. She must be a member of the "family" who runs the place or she would surely have been terminated.

I am not usually the type of person who complains about servers. I think they have a difficult job and should be treated courteously and tipped well. However, I would like to be treated, also, with a certain amount of courtesy.

Cooking just like Grandma's. The food is good o' home cooking. Everything is made from scratch. The best hamburgers and meat and three. The banana pudding is wonderful. My family meets there at least once a month for"family time". We love it.

Best Meat & 3. We drive to Lebanon at least once a week from Mt. Juliet to eat this great food. Their mac and cheese is to die for. Great homemade desserts, too. Remember though, they only take cash or checks. Sorry no Credit Cards.
