Way to Expensive!

by ayenone at Citysearch

We decided to take our kids to the waterpark before school started. My hubby wanted Nashville shores but i didn't. because i didn't like it last time i went about 5 years ago. I new it had added alot of new stuff since then so he won and we went. It is a nice park with lots of fun stuff. That is the nice thing i must say but WOW i have never been to a park that charged so much for everything. 9.00 to park which was the first shocker, 31.99 per person to get in and 26.99 for my 6 year old. So after we paid around 169.00 to get in , we noticed a shortage of tubes in one area and looked and saw tube rentals???? What 7.00 to rent a tube , i had never been to a park you had to rent a tube?? (i have been to many waterparks) . Thank goodness it was a slower than normal day at the park due to it rain almost the whole day so it was possiable for use to get our hands on a tube except at the wave pool, you might as well forget a tube there! Thanks goodness we bought a cooler of food and our own drinks which we kept at our van so we went there for lunch. We drove 2 hours to this park , it was fun but will never go back there! I would rather go toVenture River in Eddyville Ky (half the price of Nash.Shores) or Beech Bend in Bowling Green , Ky . Beech bend you get free parking , free drinks, no tube rentals and free sunscreen to. It is about the same price and Nashville shores (about 2 dollars cheaper acually) but price also includes there amusement park . Next year Nashville shores will not be one of our options.

NASHVILLE SHORES IS GREAT FOR FAMILIES

by FUN FOR ALL at Citysearch

Nashville Shores is a great place for families. We have purchased season passes for the last 4 years and the last 2 years have been the best.

The new wavepool, lazy river and kids area are fantastic. The park is clean and well maintained. The lifeguards seem well trained and serious about their jobs. The other employees seem pleasant and do a good job also.I have seen police in uniform patrolling the park and the parking lot although I have never seen any problems.

We love Nashville Shores. It is the best waterpark in the Nashville area, maybe in Tennessee and it is continueing to grow with new things for all age groups.

I recommend Nashville Shores to everyone I know.

NO SECURITY/NO SAFETY

by Pumpman077 at Citysearch

Visited this waterpark on 7/28/11 with family. Kids were in wave pool. 14 y/o son was on his rental tube next to the left pool wall with a lifeguard standing less than 5 ft away and another lifeguard in the water less than 10 ft. away. A young hispanic male started verbally and physically assaulting my son, apparently for bumping into him. My older son stepped in, grabbed the attacker by the arm and told him to stop, at which time the attacker verbally attacked him and when he made a move believed to be a punch, my older son punched him in the nose. Only after this did the lifeguards get involved.(Thinking hockey game here). A "manager" was summoned who's only concern seemed to be find out who was involved and eject them from the park, including my son who threw the punch in defense of himself and his younger brother. I requested name of the attacker and when management refused, I requested their name. The manager and lifeguards stood there and REFUSED to even give me their names. When I asked them to call Metro Police, I was advised they would not and that I could take my problems and settle them outside the front gates!. I don't condone fighting at all, but when "lifeguards" stand there and witness a 14 y/o being attacked by someone who appeared to be 16-18 y/o, and not even do so much as blow their wistle, somebody has to step in and that's all my older son did. He hit the attacker once to stop the attack and that was all. When I got home and called back to talk to management, I was given to a PR manager who informed me he had no report of the incident and knew nothing of it. Obviously, problems like these exist but don't get reported. Please understand, this wasn't some fued between two rival kids or gangs. This was simply, IMO, a unreasonable attack on my 14 y/o that required someone to step in. That someone turned out to be my older son. Many witnesses voluntarily came up to me and informed me that they saw the incident and they all felt my older son took the correct and necessary action under the circumstances. NO SECURITY IS PRESENT ON THIS LOCATION AT ALL, NONE, NADA!! and a poor excuse for management with a poorer excuse of safety policy for the paying public. I'd feel safer walking my family thru the projects @ midnight than returning to this pathetically managed waterpark. Consider yourself warned, ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK AND BE PREPARED TO HANDLE ANY AND ALL PROBLEMS YOURSELF!!!!

Will NEVER go back

by AGNash at Citysearch

Pllleeeaaassseeeeee do not waste your money on this place! The staff is all teenagers that are uninformative and a lot of them are rude. We spent 10 minutes in the park and never touched a drop of water. We asked for a refund and they told us no because they had a no refund policy. We explained we had only been there a few minutes and it just was not anything like we expected.

The "beach" is a freaking joke.. sand with a bunch of city-rocks in it. The water you can swim in is about 4 feet deep and you have to have a life vest. If you have never seen a water park in your whole life, I can see where it might be fun... otherwise, save your money and go to Dollywood.

Great Time, BIG Cost

by hisnewcreation at Citysearch

I recently went with a group of 70 plus church family for a fun filled day. Let me say we had an amazing time. Very nice park. Only problems I seen were with cost. You pay $30+ to get in the park and still have to pay $9 to park. You are not allowed to carry any food or beverage in the park (you can get a stamp and keep going back to your car) This is a way to make killer money on their concessions. (for 3 orders of if i remember 3 or 4 chicken strips and two fries and a drink it cost close to $50. You also cannot take your childs floats or arm wings inside park. The Lazy river was awesome but for size park they have they need more floats offered to paying customers, otherwise you pay to rent one. I really did enjoy my time there but I have to say it only helped that I was part of a group cost.
