Worst Service and management. My husband and I just went to this restaurant for a late lunch and when we were sitted it was over 35 minutes before we received our order. This was due to poor service and lack of management. When we arrived the restaurant wasn't all that busy - I have seen busier ones at 2 pm. All we ordered was 2 hamburgers and fries with cokes and it took this long.

I don't agree that when the servers have customers that they should be the ones taking people to tables and then keeping up with the tables that they sat someone at. WHERE IS A MANAGER DURING THIS TIMES? We did see a "manager" occasionaly, cashing customers out but not before there would be 5 to 6 patrons backed up to leave.

Also, when we got there there were tables that needed to be cleaned off and when we left there were at least 11 that needed cleaning plus the counter area.

To me this is totally unexceptable. Also, I saw at least 1 family or possible 2 that left before anyone came and took their order and this was after they had sat there for at least 10 minutes.

All I can say is that it will be a long time before my husband and I return to your store.

Great Burgers, Kids Love It. The food is good, and my kids like it, so we drive a fair distance to go there, as they are hard to please. I think the burgers are the best, but don't like the fries as much. The service is usually quick and friendly. We are definitely going back.

Entering the clean, bright interior is like stepping into an "Archie" comic book. Hurrying across white- and black-checkered floors, staff in crisp white shirts and paper hats take orders, polish chrome and shuffle between booths and the full-service counter. Middle-American diner standards dominate the menu--pickle-covered steak burgers, chili cheeseburgers and thick shakes. Healthier options include chicken, chef and taco salads.

Great food, very slow service. I don't know where everyone else is getting this "good service" from but the past 3 times I have been there the service has been very slow. My friend didn't even get his milkshake until the waitress brought us the check!

The food is great as always though and I love going there around 1 or 2 AM with a few friends.

BEST MILKSHAKES ANYWHERE. Great place to eat. Service was excellent. Good family atmosphere.Great for children. Very good meal for someone on a budget.

Best Burgers Bar None. I have traveled throughout the East and South. Never have I found a better hamburger than at Steak 'n Shake. It is consistent quality, no matter what state you are in. Their sides are sometimes lacking. I do like shoestring fries, that isn't the problem. The sides are simply average. Of course, the chili is extremely good but fried, baked beans, etc. are not to the same level of quality that the burgers, chili and shakes are. However, overall, I have NEVER had a bad experience at a Steak 'n Shake. Service is always prompt, restaurants clean, people friendly. Not to degrade McDonald's, Burger King, Hardee's and that type of restaurant but they are not on the same level. Not to say that there is anything wrong with fast food (certainly I eat it) but to compare Steak 'n Shake to a fast food restaurant would be like comparing Outback Steak House to a local street hot dog vendor.

The best!!. I think Steak 'n Shake should be rated a little higher because I think they are much better than McDonald's. McDonald's fries are only good when they are piping hot (which is rare) and Steak 'n Shake's are made fresh when they're ordered and don't have to sit for minutes at a time under a heat lamp. Hats off to Steak 'n Shake for the best in my opinion!!

steak 'n shake rocks. As a kid i looked forward to when mom would bring me here. Nothing was better then a bowl of chili 3 way and an order of awesome shoestring french fries. As an adult I miss living in a state that has a steak 'n shake and look forward to visiting states that have them! There fries absolutely rock and are great with all there meals.

Everyone. Everyone but dreaming demon & martorious get a big fat 0... You people fail to help anyone you'd rather complain about your own personal preferences than help other people...If the service was good and the food was good then give a good reveiw... Not everyone like steaks fries... My experiences with Steak & Shake... Were nice, good service, and the resurant was clean...

Hahahaaaa!. Who voted for this? I don't like shoe string fries. S&S needs steak fries to go with their steak burgers. But come to think of it, practically none of their sides are good.
