What People Are Saying About Blue Goose Cafe

In Short – Walking into this old-fashioned diner with more than four in a party is chancy during its busy lunch hour. The small space fills up quickly. Hungry customers are blue-collar workers, longtime patrons and locals who know the owners and waitstaff by name. This meat-and-three restaurant caters to those looking for true down-home cooking. The Blue Goose breakfast special includes country ham, three eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy or toast and grits.
Editor's Tips
- Where To Go:
- Blue Goose Cafe is close enough to the Hermitage, President Andrew Jackson's historic home, that it makes a great lunch spot on a weekend excursion.

- Catering services are available for large gatherings, such as family reunions.
- Save Times:
- Takeout orders are taken by phone. Be sure to inquire about wait time.

It is the real down home cooking you look for. The waitress are sweethearts and the cooks remind me of Grandma's cooking. Maybe you should consider franchising................
- Pros: Great Food
- Cons: Kinda small place...

I know every girl at the goose and not one of them would every say that about the owner. I think it funny how people loose their jobs because they are lazy and then try to blame it on the boss. The truth is if it wasnt for the owner the goose would have been gone along time ago and as for his girlfreind have you seen here lord who would ever need to sleep with one of the waitress good lord she is beautiful. Maybe keep to whats important the food and atmosphere is GREATTTTT and i have never been in the Goose when it wasn't packed.....
- Pros: The owner is on his game.....
- Cons: People sure wast time with lies.

Went for breakfast. The food was o.k. but the menu didn't have that big of a selection. The place is really small. Very casual. The staff was friendly and the environment was warm and welcoming. They don't take credit cards.
- Pros: Friendly, welcoming environment
- Cons: No credit cards

While visiting Hendersonville, I asked a friend if he could recommend a nice little restaurant for lunch. He recommended the Blue Goose, saying it was the best restaurant in Hendersonville. He was right. It's a quaint (read, "old") little place that has been converted into this a little restaurant. The servers are friendly - and pretty! - and the food was GREAT! I had roast beef that was fantastic! It was smothered in brown gravy and was lean and tender. The side dishes were also great and the homemade pecan pie reminded me of my mother's. In fact, everything is homemade. My mouth is still watering! My friend tells me they have a marvelous hamburger that he calls a hubcap because it is so big and "to die for." This was my first visit there and definitely will NOT be my last.
- Pros: Great food. Beautiful servers. Good price.
- Cons: They don't take plastic. Parking is a bit of a hassle.
Cafe for Breakfast & Lunch

Blue Goose Cafe serves Breakfast & Lunch. Warm & Friendly atmosphere from the staff & customers.
The staff has bascially been the same for the last couple of years. The food is good. Blue Goose is a favorite for breakfast including the basics, & a couple of specialties such as the Goosenest Omlet. Clubs are great for lunch. Reasonable prices. Seats are generally available right away. Sometimes you may have to wait.
- Pros: Country Cafe atmosphere
- Cons: Sometimes, not often, a wait for seating due to being full of customers
