I won't go back. After not going to this eatery for over a year a friend told us it had really improved so I decided to give it a try. It was nice and clean. Fresh paint on the walls and no more grease hanging in the air. However, it all changed when we sat down. It took 10 minutes for us to get a waitress to take our drink order. When she came back with our drinks they were not correct but we did'nt complain. We then ordered food. Ham and cheese omelet and a BLT, nothing fancy. We waited for 25 minutes before the waitress came over to tell us that our food was coming right up. She did apologize for the wait. After another 10 minutes she came back and told us the same thing. When she brought out a large tray with mutiple plates on it at the 45 minute mark I thought finally! Imagine my surprise when she began to serve the food to a table full of people that had come in 10-15 minutes after us and on top of that she was serving them ham and cheese omelets! My husband was livid. We got up and left. I seriously doubt if we will ever go back and we WILL tell our friends. Another couple across from us had the same experience at the same time. I doubt if they will come back either. After going to another cafe right after that I learned that this is a common complaint from others that have revisited this restaurant.

Wow the new owners have done great. This place has been revived from its horrible days the food is by far excelent. Mashed potatoes were to die for not to mention the meatloaf any how I will be back and you should go to!!!!!!!!!

Not what it used to be. I wonder if ownership has changed. Service and food are not what they used to be.

Great breakfasts!. I've been going there for over 15 years. Whenever I'm in town its a must stop for our family. I got hooked on their biscuits and gravy, and now my kids are hooked.

Really good homemade food. I went there a few days ago, and stopped by for a little breakfast. The biscuits were soft, and the gravy was delicious. Tasted just like momma's cookin. Servers were friendly, and never had a half empty glass of tea. Made an account here just to express my satisfaction. If you're lookin for somewhere friendly and delicious, try this.

Great Pancakes!. We have eaten at Mallards on several occasions for the pancakes alone. They are just like Mama used to make. I cannot however give the staff five stars for the service sometimes is friendly and sometimes lukewarm. Good luck getting more than two cups of coffee even if they are not busy. The owner likes to talk to much for a long period of time to certain customers and if you aren't on her list of ones to talk to you will end up sitting waiting for your check. If you have plenty of patience and want some great pancakes try Mallards.
