best karate school around. My friends and I have been students at this school for years. The instructors are very good and do their best to make you feel welcome and to help you learn karate. Everyone is friendly. I don't know where the other person who posted got the idea of a lifetime contract but I have never heard of one there.

LIFETIME CONTRACT----DO NOT SIGN. The billing company they use Educational Funding Company (EFC) has over 150 complaints with the Better Business Bureau. Beware!!!! I would advise seeking lessons elsewhere. Wado karate is of no help either. Do not take your child here. They will make you sign a LIFETIME contract that will renew itself year after year, with no prior notice. If you choose to cancel, you will have to pay the REST of the year. You cannot cancel the contract. Very bad way to treat families of your students.

they really care!!. The instructors really take the student's best interest to heart. They teach traditional martial arts with a modern day flair, and are involved in the community. It's a great place for children and adults to learn karate.

Great Karate School. I have been attending this school since 2002. It has great instructors, great location, and good proximity to the interstate. I did quite a bit of research on all of the local schools and realized this school, and the ones in the area affiliated with it are the only one where your belts are recognized in Japan. This by itself meant a lot to me, because I wanted to make sure I was being taught the traditional style and not some watered down version.

I have to say that for eight years this Dojo has met and exceeded my expectations. I also appreciate the fact that classes for children and adults are separate. I disagree with other schools lumping you all in together as if you have the same learning curve.

If you are looking for a school to start training at, I highly recommend you put this school on your list.

10. I looked and visited all over the Nashville area for a quality instructor. Most of the dojo's I visited seemed to be interested in the number of students and not the quality of instruction. Mr. Hayden is the only sensei I met who conducted the classes himself instead of one his students. Mr. Hayden studied under Cecil Patterson who studied under the originator of Wado Ryu Karate. You will not be disappointed.
