Tips for Bridal Warehouse

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! The bridesmaids' dresses were all wrong. One of the dresses came in a wrong color - which could've been avoided if someone had checked the dresses when they came in. The chest size for all them were bigger than what they measured. They wouldn't alter it for free, but for $40 each dress!! - even though they're the ones who are supposed to have right measurements. We buy clothes all the time that fit perfectly from regular retail stores and this store that actually takes measurements so you could have a perfectly-fit dress couldn't even get that right. We left the dresses in the store until they get the right color for that one dress. Came back and found one of the dresses, that was perfectly fine before we left, completely scrunched and a mess, like they had it under boxes or something. Wanted to charge us $15 to steam it in order to un-scrunch it. Tried talking to them, would not even listen or please the customer - and all this was their fault. UNPROFESSIONAL!! BAD SERVICE!! WORKERS WITH BAD ATTITUDE-COMPLETELY RUDE!!!

I would NOT recommend coming here.. I went in hoping they could help me find my dress fast, because my wedding is in less than 5 months. I had an appointment but they took walk-ins instead of my bridal party and myself. We were on time for OUR appointment mind you. Once we were finally taken back 20 minutes AFTER our appointment was supposed to start, they cut us loose and told us to find our own dresses. I thought consultants are supposed to help you find something for you. They know the store better than you do and know the styling of the dresses that they carry there. Well finally after another 20 minutes of searching on our own for the correct sizes We were looking for our consultant so we could try on dresses and she was helping another group of people. Not that i mind that but if you have an app. I would think the store wouldn't double(or in our case triple) book the girl. So we ended up waiting another 10 minutes before finally getting a room to try on. My bridesmaids and me. All four of us. One 4x4 foot room. While i waited for everybody else to get into their dress I asked the consultant if she could help me get into mine once the room cleared because it had some extra strap i didn't know where it went and she said yes, but then when it was time for me to get in my dress my bridal party couldn't find her at all! So one of my bridesmaids went to the front to ask where she had gone or if they had even seen her, and they let us know she thought she was done with our party and all the others and had gone on her break. It was extremely disappointing. So we took off all the dresses, hung them back up in their bags and just walked out of the busy store empty handed. Worst dress trying experience ever.

Great Experience. After a dismal time at David's Bridal looking for a bridesmaid's dress, I decided to try out Bridal Warehouse. They were so friendly and helpful, even though I didn't have an appointment. I had about 6 people help me in the 30 minutes I was there. Totally pleased.

Good and Bad review. Theresa was my sales person. I went alone so she was the only person available for me to vent to and get an honest critique. I found her to be a helpful, friendly and profession consultant. Each time I call, she is helpful over the phone and gives me her honest opinion. I am plus size and found the bridal selections to be more vast than David’s Bridal or small bridal shops. She helped me chose the style that I needed. Although she was multi tasking with another appointment, I found her to be attentive and when I advised her of what I wanted, she picked the perfect gown and color as well as sash to complete my 'dream gown'. She is great with bridal selections, veil suggestions and coordinating. They have plenty of swatches from all their designers so if you are mix matching designers, you can at least view the contrast between each of them.

I also purchased my jr bridesmaids and bridesmaids gowns there. Since all of my bridesmaids have different schedules, some of them opted to go there on their own to choose their gowns. They were almost persuaded into purchasing the wrong color by Theresa who couldn’t understand the difference between turquoise and baby blue. Luckily, I came at the last minute to view swatches during my lunch hour. The bridesmaids had to change designers since each designer has different shades. I did find that although Theresa was an excellent consultant with bridal gowns, the same attentiveness and knowledge was not present for the bridal party and my jr bridesmaids. Often time times through all of my bridesmaids they indicated that she would disappear even through they came during the day when the business was not busy. I was determined to find a gown for under $100.00 for my jr bridesmaids since I viewed it online. I was told there was not one but ended up finding it on my own on a rack. Theresa only said “Oh, didn’t see it there”, even though she swore no gown in the store was under $120.00. I had to put my foot down and make it clear on the fabric style I needed for the bridesmaids and jr bridesmaid so that the color/fabric would not be switched. I found that Theresa would get confused and at the end of the 'fitting', someone else took over and assisted. This other consultant tried to persuade one bridesmaid into getting a larger size than what she was wearing even though the size was significantly loose on her. During checkout time, I had a total of 10 purchases and it took over an hour to check out b/c each 'dress' needs it's own invoice. I thought Theresa left and this lady took over until I learned she was still in the store. This irritated me because I felt that she 'made her sale' and didn't want to work with me after that. I felt rushed to finalize these dresses right away. She indicated that by ordering it by 02/12/11, it wouldn't come in until mid June. When ringing up my purchase, I found that the delivery date would be 04/15/11, maybe sooner. Almost seems like she rushed me when it actually could have waited. I ended up fronting the money for 2 of my bridesmaids. When I called to advise that I fired one of my bridesmaids, I found out that a replacement bridesmaid's dress woul d be in on 06/02/11 if I ordered by 03/01/11... I felt that I was pressured into buying their dresses right away to satisfy their 'commision/quota'

Cons:

*no refunds, so choose any dress carefully

*$10.00 bag fee for bridal dresses

*$10.00 plus size fee (over size 16)

*$30.00 fee for extra length

*They have layaway of 1/4 down and you must pay every 2 weeks.

*Get your own alterations from somewhere else, starts off at $45.00 bucks.

**You're bridal party gets %20 off of their purchases and you get %10 off of accessories BUT you will be charged $10.00 for a plus size order (over size 16), a $10.00 bag fee and $10.00 shipping charge.

Do Not Go to Bridal Warehouse - those people are not nice!!!. I wish I had read these reviews before trying to deal with these people. First of all I am a 50-year-old African American bride. The store in Louisville (KY) lied and told me the dress I chose only comes in white. This is not my first marriage and I am opposed to wearing white. When I found for myself on the designers website that the dress does come in ivory, I went to the Goodlettsville to order the dress. Wedding is July 9, 2011 and I was there on February 17, 2011. The staff told me that there was 12-16 week leadtime and that they could not get the dress delivered in time for my wedding. They were not nice in teling me that I had waited too late to order my dress. And they did not offer to show me anything else. Frustrated, I left. Went to Glitz Bridal to see if they could get the dress. Rita was so very helpful. She called the factory and found out the dress could be delivered last week in May, and so Rita ordered my dress in my size for May delivery. Bridal Warehouse persons were not interested in helping me, and kinda treated me as if they thought I did not have the money to pay for the dress. So ladies, don't waste your time with Bridal Warehouse. Glitz Bridal can get most any dress, and the ladies there are very nice, (Rita and Whitney) and they made my experience very pleasurable. Will be purchasing more items for my wedding from them. Wish I could give Bridal Warehouse less than one star!!!

terrible waste of time. my fiance found out the hard way the website displays discontinued inventory.

BW let her order wedding dress, brides maid dresses, and flower girl dresses in colors that never existed or discontinued altogether. there is one person in the store that knows anything.

It worked for me.. I went to Bridal Warehouse after using David's Bridal for about a month. All my bridesmaids had found their dresses at David's, which was good, because when we went to Bridal Warehouse to look around, there wasn't a cute tea-length bridesmaids dress to be found.

I'd found a cute outside wedding dress at David's, but when I found out my venue had changed and gone from being outside to being inside a chapel, I couldn't find anything at David's that I liked.

So I decided to make a trip to Bridal Warehouse to scope out their dresses. I found one immediately that I was absolutely in love with. It was perfect. The only downfall was that it was $1,300 and I wasn't willing (or able) to spend above $850. The woman who helped me, Vikki, quickly ran and pulled out another dress that was almost the EXACT dress, minus a few details, and I tried that one on. It looked just as good, I was just as in love with it, and the price was only $750. She was so helpful and knew exactly what I was looking for.

So, all in all, it was a good experience, but I'm not depending on them for alterations or bridesmaids dresses, so I can't really give an opinion about that much.

If your not looking for a wedding gown don't even waste your. My experience at Bridal Warehouse was alrite i guess. When I first walked in I had several people greet me at the door and showed me where to look. After awhile, I never saw them again nor did they bother help me. The store is broken off into bridal, bridesmaid, and prom sections. It just seems as though all the works were more focused on the bridal side than the whole store itself. When I went to go try on dresses that I had picked out it seemed to take forever to get someone to let me use a fitting room. Despite these few mishappens two employees did help me fit my dress, but I didn't buy anything out of there cause it was kind of expensive.

Not Fun. I had a horrible experience, I made an appointment thinking that I would get one-on-one attention. I showed up they didn't even have me on the reservation list. I then get into a dressing room with no mirror inside the changing area so I could see what the dress looked like on me before I emerged. I had to share my insecurities with the nine other brides trying on dresses in a large room. I say insecurities because the sales woman kept bringing me dresses that did not fit. Although I continually asked her to bring me at least one my size so I could "picture what the dress would look like" she just kept saying that's all we have. Ladies if you are a size 10 then I don't recommend going to The Bridal Warehouse, their dresses apparently run small.

Great experience!. A girl I work with told me about Bridal Warehouse and after spending a Saturday in Bridal hell (a.k.a. David's Bridal) I was worried I would have to wear a paper sack to my wedding. I went with my mom to Bridal Warehouse and we had such a great experience! The lady who helped us was excellent and there when we needed her, but also respected our boundaries and didn't try to push us into anything. They had a beautiful selection of dresses at great prices. I ended up getting the perfect dress and shoes while I was there. We went around 10 a.m. on a Saturday morning and there were maybe two or three other customers there so I recommend going early if you don't like crowds.
