Bad Experience

We recently had a tree split during a storm and needed to have the broken portion removed. We had used Davey Tree in another state and were very pleased, so we decided to look them up in Nashville. The experience was horrible! We had difficulty getting anyone to return our calls. Numerous times we were told that they would be at our house that day or "in a few hours." After the third or fourth no-show with no follow up call of explanation, we called and left a message (because no one ever answered the phone...EVER) that we would no longer be needing their services. A short time later we were out of town for a week; when we returned home, the tree was gone. There was still no phone call or follow up, just an invoice a few days later. I WILL NOT be calling them again.

Great experience

I had these guys take down a massive tree that fell on my house. These guys aren't touchy-feely with the trees like some of the popular names, but if you want a very professional, efficient, friendly and hardworking crew to take care of your trees, I wouldn't hesitate to call Davey. No lolling about here - they were just a powerhouse. And their price was $1000 less than the most of expensive of the quotes I collected. They were happy to special requests for me, too, like tarp a hole in my roof, leave me wood chip to compost into mulch and leave some firewood. Lovely experience overall.
