Editorial Review for Bricks Cafe – by Mindy Merrell
In Short
This little strip-mall eatery is the neighborhood hangout for the sprawling Fieldstone Farms community. Locals stop in for lunch or supper, a drink after work and to gather for a Titans game. The friendly bar and brick pizza oven work overtime to warm up the interior with deep-red walls and checked floor. There's the signature brick-oven pizza like barbecue-smoked chicken and the bacon cheeseburger and are right on for young families and hungry beer drinkers.

Apparently this day and age customer service is not as important as it once was. I have been trained that the customer is always right. Upon a recent dining experience at the Bricks on Nolensville Road our service was nothing but the worst and the staff blamed us for the food being horrible. The chef/owner/manager is an arrogant individual! He cares nothing about his customers and will fail miserably without an attitude adjustment! If you want an enjoyable meal - DO NOT DINE AT BRICKS!
Pros: NONE
Cons: RUDE STAFF, RUDE OWNER/MANAGER/CHEF

Avoid this place! The managers are extremely rude to both customers and their staff. My husband and I used to be regulars there and we had a waitress we always requested. She told us that the managers would not allow her time off to attend a family event despite her giving adequate notification time. I was also told by my waitress friend that if customers sent food back, the kitchen staff would salivate in the dish before sending it back out. Half the time the dish was never re-made. I've heard multiple reports of hair being in food. I had hair in my pasta and the staff refused to do anything about it claiming that I put it there myself, because it matches my hair. Ironically the cook had the same black straight hair. I was ecstatic when the Nolensville location closed. I was very unhappy to see the "Bricks Coming Soon" sign up in Brentwood. I hope that this location fails quickly. I've also heard of bad experiences with coupons too. They used to accept the Entertainment coupons with the card. It took an act of congress to get them to honor the coupon. The management came across as just being greedy, money thirsty pigs. If I could give this place no star, I would. After 1 bad experience, we decided to give them another try and witnessed the pizza maker stick his fingers in different ingredients and eat them. No protective where at all. He also scratched himself in inappropriate places with children present in the restaurant. It was quite repulsive.
Pros: None
Cons: Tainted food & bad management
