What People Are Saying About Logan's Roadhouse

In Short – Founded in 1991, this company-owned and franchised eatery is famous for one thing: steak. With a decor reminiscent of the classic wood-paneled roadhouses that lined Route 66, this restaurant serves up mouth-watering, gigantic portions of mesquite-grilled and hand-cut steaks. Families and friends with rumbling stomachs start off with bottomless peanuts before diving into sirloins, rib-eyes and prime rib. Bigger appetites go for the 20-oz. porterhouse. Lighter, non-red-meat items include teriyaki-grilled chicken and Santa Fe tilapia.

not as good as it use to be

I use to be a big Logan's fan. I visited often for lunch and dinner. However, over the last year my opinion has changed. The food isn't very hot. I feel like there is no flavor to the food at all anymore. The staff is friendly but the food just isn't worth the money anymore.
Terrible steak puts it mildly

Usually I go to a place a few times before I write a review, but I am sorry I will NEVER go to Logan's again. I am a big fan of steak, I really am, I have been to every steakhouse that I have driven by more than once. I am trying to think of a place that had a worse steak than Logan?s, and the only thing that comes up is once when I was forced into a place called "IHOP" and was served a breakfast steak (which was around 8 dollars). To start, the presentation was horrible. I do not know where they found the cow, or who cut the meat, but it was truly the ugliest steak I have ever seen. It curled up at the edges so much that only half of it actually sat on the plate. It did not have a grilled look either, none of the steak was blackened, it was all one shade of medium-light brown, and was only about a half inch thick. I can?t remember ever seeing such a grotesque steak. I ate it, it didn't taste as bad as it looked. However, it was only slightly better than that breakfast steak I had at IHOP, and far more deficient than those I commonly have at home for half the price. Since I have only stopped in one time, I cannot say if I was just terribly unlucky (since I ate with 3 others who ordered the same misshapen steak, I don't think this is the case) or the people who eat at this place have no concept of a decent steak. Whatever the case, I simply cannot recommend this place to anyone.
As for the service and atmosphere, nothing special and not worth the terrible food.
- Pros: you are not required to eat here
- Cons: terrible food
Husband's favorite

My husband loves to eat here, and I never argue with him. They have great food, anything I have ever gotten has been delicious. Since he smokes, we sit in the bar area where it is first come, first serve. However, we have never had to wait over 30 minutes no matter the day or time we were there. Always good food, drinks and great waitress/waiter.
- Pros: Great family place
- Cons: NONE
Just your average chain Steakhouse
by gretchasketch at Citysearch
Logan's was your typical chain steakhouse... nothing more, nothing less. Although it was pale in comparision to the TEXAS ROADHOUSE chain. At both places you throw peanuts on the floor, get complimentary bread, and have a southwest environment. The food is the big difference, TEXAS ROADHOUSE makes everything from scratch, all sides, salad dressings, and meals. No microwaves there, Logans was average. A meal for two with drinks will run $20-$25 with tip.
- Pros: Quick Seating, Inexpensive, good parking
- Cons: Average Food, Average Service, Average Cost

Love the Logan's! My husband and I eat there at least once a week! The service is always superb and the food is great! The managers are extremely friendly and helpful. We have eaten at many other restaurants (such as The Palm, Green Hills Grille, and many others) and we always go back to Logan's for a perfect dinner every time. Wait at Logan's is always less than most other restaurants in the Coolsprings area.
- Pros: Friendliness, Food, Quick
