We moved to Nashville in 2004 and toured a bunch of kennels in town. They were all pretty unimpressive, both the facilities and the people working. We had a trip coming up quickly, so we settled on taking our lab to a "different" kind of kennel in West Nashville that charged a ton, I guess because the dogs each got a TV(?!) and mattress in their completely-enclosed cells. Fortunately we happened upon the Hairy Moose and went to check it out. Everyone was as nice as could be, the facilities were good, and the dogs got interaction with each other and attention from the workers, and it was a true relief to find. We've been taking our dog there for more than 2 years now and they're incredible to her - she always gets a warm welcome from everyone and she found a boyfriend, another lab who's a regular there, to play with during her stays. Couldn't feel better about the care these folks give to their guests!
Pros: Employees' care for pet and owner, Facilities
Cons: Distance would be it but it's well worth it
