In Short
Although the trappings are decidedly British, the attitude is anything but pretentious--Southern hospitality permeates Franklin's oldest bar. A host of friendly locals keeps the place lively throughout the day, often coming for lunch and staying through the extended happy hour (12pm-7pm, Monday through Saturday). With jumbo-sized portions of usual pub favorites and a congenial atmosphere, this cozy tavern lives up to its motto of "Good food, good cheer, served here."

wait staff is great and very friendly, the food is typical bar menu, hambugers, chicken fingers, etc. The music is great fun little neighborhood pub, smoking is banned, fun Saturday night out with friends, the place is small come early stay late.

I live and work in Franklin and would much rather not go to Nashville these days as every night you hear about another shooting in downtown around very nice places. The Pig gives you great food, great atmosphere and great music. I do agree after a certain hour of the night it does get a bit smoky, but now the outdoor patio makes a great break area if you need a bit of fresh air. Service has been great and not so great, but usually because of short staff. All and All this is the place I recommend above the newbies, Tin Roof and Dan McGuiness.
