I live in Nashville and commute everyday to work, over 70 miles. I was in the market for a clean, used car, a Toyota Prius. Holland Automotive had a 2011 Prius that was listed below the car dealerships based in Nashville. I decided to make a call to make sure it was still available as many car dealerships do not take down there ads in a timely fashion. That was not the case here. Linda answered my call and answered all of my questions. She was a pleasure to deal with. Cody let me take it for a spin and made me feel comfortable and assured me that Holland Automotive is a good, reputable, family company that has been in business for many years. I had a pleasant experience and would reccomend them to my own friends and family.

GREAT PLACE TO GO. I ASK AROUND ABOUT A GOOD SHOP IN TOWN AND HOLLAND AUTOMOTIVE KEEP COMING UP SO I TOOK IT TO HOLLAND AUTOMOTIVE AND FIRST TALKED TO THE OWNER DAVID HOLLAND.THEN LEFT MY VEHICAL AFTER THE REPAIR I ASK TO SEE MY OLD PARTS AND THEY HAD THEM THIS ALWAYS MAKE ME FEEL BETTER ABOUT A SHOP I WILL BE GOING BACK
Great place to get ripped off!. I bought my ford focus from him and the agreement was that before I bought it he would change the brakes and align the car. Well 3 days later the car started making this ticking noise and the gas peddle stuck on me while I was on the interstate and the brakes were still grinding. I took it back to David and he told me that I was pretty much crazy and that the car was a great car. I demanded that he fix it and he started laughing at me and mocked me by saying "what? you think you're going to get a refund or something cause that ain't gonna happen." He really screwed me over on my car and I've had to put over 2,000 dollars into it since and right now it's parked and not working, it's a 2004 so you'd think it wouldn't have so many problems but it does. I had to change the brakes myself about a week after I bought it and had to have it in a shop to fix the ticking in the engine. After that about 6 months later I put new tires on it and the tie rods were all bend and I had to have them replaced so the car wouldn't rock while I drove it. I hate that man for what he has done to me. Obviously it has been wrecked or in Katrina or something.
Get your own inspection.
I recently purchased a 2000 F350 truck from David Holland. Six days after the purchase I drove to MI to visit my parents, (my husband had left the day before to return to Iraq).
The truck completely shut down in Piqua, OH. After being towed to a motel, and finding a mechanic on a Sunday evening I was told the wiring harness wasn't attached properly to the undercarriage and had been destroyed. The mechanic in Ohio managed to get it working enough for me to limp the rest of the way to MI. There I had the truck in two shops, only to find out that it now needed two electrical sensors, one internal transmission pack, a new engine computer and had to be rewired.
I spoke to David Holland on the phone in MI and he said "if you were here I would make it right." Well, I guess I should have towed it from Michigan to Tennessee so he could be a man of his word. He hasn't returned a single phone call, fax or letter since I came home. My husband has even called twice...from Iraq.
All David Holland had to do was tell me that he was sorry it happened but there was nothing he could do. I would have been fine with that.
We purchased the vehicle 'as is' and that is fine, I was just unaware that 'as is' could be a mans excuse for not doing the right thing.
Bottom line, if you notice a vehicle that you like on his lot (and he typically has nice vehicles) GET YOUR OWN INSPECTION
Had we done this we might have known about the obvious problem and we would have purchased it anyway...a couple of zip ties would have fixed it without a great deal of trouble. But instead we took his word that they had done a 'complete inspection of the truck"
And in my opinion if David Holland can't return a phone call then he fits the stereotypical used car salesman...
Use caution and have someone you trust check the vehicle!
