AWESOME !!!

i like walking into a store where im not pressured to buy anything. the sales people are not paid on commission so i just get an honest answer from the associates.

i love rock band... and now i want to learn how to play real guitar... and guess what they just added a musical instrument department and they teach lessons.

• Pros: musical instruments, high-end electronics, price match
• Cons: you get greeted a lot which can be annoying

NO FUNCTIONING ELECTRONICS IN THE STORE???!!??!

My Rating: Less Than Zero.

So last week I go to the store to buy a camcorder (now called a miniDV recorder or HD recorder). They had a good selection. The problem is, that probably 75% of the electronics on the display case DID NOT WORK. In most cases they simply did not have electricity going to the camcorder itself. This was in the DISPLAY case. They had a good selection of probably 20-30 units total----to bad I couldn't turn them on. Also, when I called these people and asked if they had a particular unit in stock, the idiot on the phone said, "yes we may possibly at this current time have four in stock prospectively"... HUH? So I said, "I am coming to the store in 15 minutes, DID YOU HAVE THIS SALE ITEM IN STOCK". She gave me the same hair-brained answer. She said maybe it takes the computer an hour or two to update (she didn't even go to the shelf and look, she typed in the inventory computer). I then asked if I could get a rain-check if the sale item was out---she said, "maybe it is very possible something we might do". HUH?? what kind of answer is this? The correct answer is: We have the item, Yes (or No) & we give out rain checks, Yes (or No). Reading the other responses I can understand why people hate Best Buy and have bad experiences wth it. If they did/did not have the item, that is fine, but the incoherent answers I can do without. I was asked several times if I needed help in the store, but after the stupid incoherent answers on the phone, I thought it best to avoid these people. I would write Best Buy LESS THAN ZERO.

• Pros: They did seem to have a good selection
• Cons: The problem is seeing if the selection actually works or is in stock.

***Skip this place and go someplace else!!!****

I work less than a mile from here so it is very convienent to go here. I will drive 10 miles out of my way to avoid this place. Although the prices are reasonable, the staff is RUDE. I have given them several chances but each time I go back I am always dissapointed in their service. They really need to train their staff on common customer service. Choose to spend your money someplace else.

• Cons: The Staff...ESPECIALLY the cashiers...
