Tips for Cozymel's Mexican Grill

Give me the Chimi!. I recently went to Cozymel's and graced them with my presence, and in return, they graced me with some of the most delicious Mexican food I have had in a long time. The salsa is the perfect mix of flavor and spice (not too hot, its just right). I was then taken care of by the staff, who all had smiles on their faces and made me feel welcome and all were very helpful. My server recommended the chimichangas to me, and I chose the pork chimichanga with the verde sauce on top. It had a little bit of spice to it, but that's what my body is craving while watching the football games and kicking back a cold one. The drink selection is very wide, with an assortment of wines, margaritas, and beers. And to top it all off, my waiter offered me to be in their email club that sends you coupons for various things, such as, $10 off your first meal, free appetizers, and other great deals. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food at a great price, and it sure beats the hell out of waiting at Chuy's or Pancho's for sub-par food!

Mexican chain restaurant food. My first experience at Cozymel"s good service, chips and queso dip. Chips were hot and fresh. Waitress was attentive. Margarita was good. Now the reason for the low rating; food was mediocre at best. Very little seasoning, usual "Mexican" seasonings seemed to be completely absent from the food. Salsa would rate mild at best. I have tried other chain Mexican resaurants before, I found Cozymel's to be about the same. I will stick with the local places, owned and operated by Mexicans.

Best Salsa!. We eat here every weekend. The mexican food is hands down best in Nashville. It is clean, the food is delicious and consistent, and the waitstaff is friendly. The drinks are okay-more like chain mexican margaritas. But the food is fabulous! I've ordered the taco salad, chicken enchiladas in poblano cream sauce or verde sauce and it's always delicious. My husband likes the fajitas.

Very good. Enjoyable mexican food, good salsa, it made me think of being in Cancun, lots of seafood dishes, very good, would of given it 5 stars, but service is not the best, but still ok

Hit the patio for tasty 'ritas and fresh coastal fare.. In Short
The restaurant's interior looks a lot like a Mexican marketplace, with shelves of exotic products and ingredients. Outside, you'll find an enticing covered patio, a perfect spot for sipping one of Cozymel's eight varieties of margaritas. The menu offers the basics--fajitas, burritos, enchiladas--in addition to a handful of coastal specialties. Many seafood entrees, including grilled salmon and Yucatan sea bass steamed in banana leaves, come dressed in one of the restaurant's piquant sauces.

This Place is GREAT!. Wow!

I felt as if I ws in Mexico. The Guacamole made at the table has got to be the best in the world. The Cozyman sampler margarita was a good way to find a favorite. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The manager even welcomed us as a first time guest. Try to find that anywhere else.

Your crazy if you go anywhere else for true Mexican food.

Fabulous American-Mexican Flare. The Maya Ritas are fabulous and worth every penny. Grabbing a seat on the patio or in the cantina is like experiencing a mini-vacation! I steer clear of the regular menu items like burritos and chimichangas just for the fact that their specialty entrees are to die for! The queso dip or chicken flameado are great appetizers. The keylime cheesecake is w o n d e r f u l! So to me, that's a start to finish absolutely splendid restaurant experience each and every time I go! (And that's often might I add)

Absolutely Wonderful. I must disagree with Joelpcox. If he wants authentic mexican, maybe he should take a trip to Mexico. I am sure not everyone at Macaroni Grill is Italian. The food is wonder and the service is friendly and over the top. My favorite dish is the chicken chimichanga and my favorite margarita is the Maya!!! The salsa is awesome and the tableside guacamole is out of this world. Anyone wanting a fun experience should go to Cozymel's.

Not Good at All. We've been twice. This is not Mexican food. This is Americanized Mexican food, which tasted like it came straight out of a cardboard box. As another review has stated, this food's main spice seemed to be ketchup. Atmosphere:I am sure that plenty of money has been thrown at decor, because I found this place pretensious (by the way, I never saw a person of Mexican origin anywhere in the restaurant).

You know, you can tell a lot about a Mexican restaurant by its salsa. Overall, this restaurant is much like its salsa, too much about appearance and not about taste.
