Plan ahead so funeral homes don't take advantage. The service I received from this funeral home a while back was horrendous. I was charged over $2000 for a cremation with no service, no visitation. I have since found that this was overpriced, especially as they did nothing beyond the cremation and handed me a death certificate. Not ever planning a funeral before left me feeling lost on costs, protocols, expectations. My loved one was a veteran and when I asked about a flag for him, they sent me to the post office to pick it up. The man at the post office was totally perplexed that a family member would be asked to do this. It took multiple trips to the funeral home to collect the ashes. They did little to nothing to help me at a vulnerable time in my life. My experience with Boyd has left me preparing in full for the future. Boyd will not take advantage of me again. Do not use this funeral home.
