The people here are so insensative and very unprofessional. I had my niece's graduation cake made here and paid $110 for the cake. After I picked the cake up, the icing started to melt and shifted, and started to break apart. I called the bakery and was advised to bring it in so that they could take a look at it. After taking it back in, they played with it some (making it worse) and then told me that it was nothing they could do. They would not even attempt to fix it or offer to make another one at a discounted price. They actually told me that all I could do is pay full price for another one, and that they were closing and locked the door. They were so nasty to me and I had just spent over $100 for a cake. I had pictures of the cake that I actually took in their store which clearly shows that it was already starting to melt. Please do not patronize these people, they don't care about their customers!!!!

Great sweets. Skip the pastries.. I request a strawberry cake every year for my birthday. It is my favorite hands down from anywhere. They use real strawberries, and it is not overly iced. Other cakes are good as well; I've had them all. They are so creative, and the decorator of my cake has always handed it to me in person. I like that it's personal, an extra touch. I can tell that they enjoy their work.

Cookies are nice and chewy; they have that homemade taste. Pastries are predictable and on the bland side. They spend so much time on cake details but ignore the aesthetics of their pastries.

taste great. My kids make me stop 4 times a week for cupcakes after school, they say because they want to treat their mom.

Wonderful Cake. The staff at Homestyle Bakery was very helpful and accommodating when I recently ordered a cake for my parent?s 50th wedding anniversary celebration. I live in Indianapolis and found out about Homestyle Bakery from the New Orleans Manor restaurant where the celebration was to take place. Ordering via phone was easy and they were very accommodating with my request for a double heart cake. I indicated the writing for the cake and colors and left the details to them. The cake was beautiful and very fresh having been baked and decorated the morning of the celebration. My dad, who is not a big sweet eater, even commented about how good it tasted. The cake was a wonderful finish for a great evening.

Christmas Cookies Galore!. I needed 120 dozen cookies for some clients of mine! A friend of mine told me about the "Best Kept Secret in Nashville," Home Style Bakery, she gave me their number (she actually had it on speed dial in her phone!) She had told me that she got her wedding cake, birthday cakes, graduation cakes and all of her holiday pies from Homestyle so she knew the cookies would be good. So I called and of course they could fill the order by my requested date! Not only did they surprise me with the ability to make 120 dozen cookies in short notice, but the cookies were amazing as well! I had to sample some myself of course! Nollie was the gentleman that waited on me and he was soooooo helpful! I now have "The Best Kept Secret" on my speed dial as well! 615-367-2355 just incase anyone wants to add it to their speed dial! You won't regret it!

WEDDING CAKE SAVIOR. HOMESTYLE BAKERY WAS ABLE GET US A WEDDING CAKE FOR NEW YEARS EVE WHEN THE BAKERY WE HAVE MADE ARRANGEMENTS WITH TOLD US THEY DECIDED TO CLOSE UNTIL AFTER THE NEW YEAR. THE WAS NO PROBLEMS OR A PRICE INCREASE FOR THE LAST MINUTE DECISION, HOMESTYLE WILL ALWAYS BE OUR FIRST ,LAST, AND ONLY CHOICE, EXCELLENT SERVICE EVEN WHILE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CHRISTMAS RUSH,WHILE WE WHERE WAITING ANOTHER COUPLE CAME IN WITH THE SAME PROBLEM , HOPE EVERYTHINS WORKS OUT FOR THEM, IF YOU NEED A LAST MINUTE CAKE CALL HOMESTYLE BAKERY 615-367-2355

who helps in a pinch. this place came through in a pinch when nobody else in town would, foodservice dropped the ball for a special client at opryland hotel and carla did a special design cake for us with just 2 hours notice and had it delivered, will never forget there help and consideration, we have ordered 50 cookie trays for our music row clients and make sure everyone knows who helps in a pinch.

NICE BAKERY. I COULD NOT FIND A CHESS PIE ANYWHERE IN THE AREA THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING AND THE SALES CLERK AT KROGER TOLD ME TO TRY HOMESTYLE BAKERY ON THE CORNER OF BELL AND MURFREESBORO RD, THEY HAD PLENTY AND IT WAS THE BEST I HAVE TASTED, THE KROGER CLERK SAID I GET ALL MY CAKES AND PIE AT HOMESTYLE BAKERY BECAUSE IT IS ALWAYS FRESH.

GOOD SOUTHERN BAKERY. I WENT TO HOMESTYLE BAKERY DURING THE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY FOR SOME PIES FOR MY INLAWS, I WANTED TO IMPRESS BECAUSE THIS WAS OUR FIRST MEETING AND WAS ONLY GOING TO GET A SOUTHERN PECAN PIE BUT ENDED UP WITH 4 PIES AND MADE QUITE AN IMPRESSION ON MY HUSBANDS FAMILY. NOT A BITE LEFT AFTER TWO DAYS AND THE LADY THAT HELPED ME GAVE ME ALL THE GOOD PLACES TO SHOP IN NASHVILLE AS WELL, THIS IS NOT TREATMENT I GET AT THE BAKERY I SHOP AT IN CHICAGO. I CERTAINLY LIKE SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY AND GOOD SOUTHERN COOKING FROM A WELL ESTABLISHED BUSINESS IN THE NASHVILLE AREA.
