Love Dr. Girone, Laura and Amy!. About a month ago my dog Greighson Andrew blew out his ACL and surgery is mandatory for this kind of injury. My regular vet stated he did not have the training to do the surgery and referred us to a specialists.

I had two concerns about that; first, a specialist was going to cost us at least $2000 for this surgery and second, I did not want to send my "kid" to a complete stranger.

I remembered a friend of mine's dog had just had this same surgery; blowing out one's ACL is apparently very common in the canine community. She had taken her dog to Dr. Mark Girone at PetMed and the surgery went beautifully. And it didn't cost her $2000. So I called them and set up a consultation.

I was very impressed by the thorough explanation of both surgeries (the one they did at PetMed and the one they did at a specialist's). Dr. Girone explained the process for both so that I could make an informed decision. I was very impressed by the way they treated Greighson and the kindness and concern they portrayed about the entire situation. When your kid is hurt and you're facing an expensive surgery it's very stressful. Kindness and concern is much appreciated in these situations and I was very grateful for it.

We decided to have Dr. Girone do the surgery which went well and although Greighson has had an extended recovery time due to the extent of injury he did to his knee all is going well.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Mark Girone, Laura (vet tech) and Amy (vet tech). When Greighson first went to PetMed he was scared and upset. Now he loves going there. He gets so excited to see Laura - who he thinks is his girlfriend - and even gives kisses to Dr. Girone when he sees him. Seeming my "kid" this happy and excited lets me know they are good people and makes all the difference in the world.

I went to PetMed for one surgery, but ended up finding a new vet for our fur kids. I am truly so grateful that I listened to my friend and took Greighson to see them for his surgery.

WHERE IS CAITLYN CARROLL!!!!??????. I am extremely saddened to just find out that Dr. Carroll is no longer with PetMed. Noone was able to tell me where she went so I have no idea how to reach her. She has been our Pet Doctor for many years and I am very attached to her. She is caring and extremely personable. She always gives her undivided attention. If anyone knows how I can reach her please tell me! Thanks, Barbie…

updated. I boarded my 2 pugs for 8 days at Ped Med....Beside the fact that i paid approximately $300 to board them and administer theyre meds, My oldest Dog who is 12 Came home sick with a Stomach infection ?...after dealing with diahreah for 4 days i took them back for a follow up as to why.....They told me my dogs had tape worms and needed to be treated...They went to ped meds fine with no issues what so ever....…

Excellent care - They stayed open late to see my injured pup. My puppy had what I thougth was broken leg, rushed to Clinic for treatment. They stayed past closing time, treated dog and me with respect. They followed up with call nest day to check on "Freckles."

Ped Med has always treated, never sold un-needed services for my dogs and cat.
