Neighborhoods: Talbot's Corner
McMurtry Disposal & Recycling – Like the other reviewer I also switched to McMurtry after having customer service issues with PDQ. I have also switched from EarthSavers to McMurtry for my recycling pick up for similar reasons. It's not that I am difficult to please, it's just that McMurtry is hard to beat!!!
Excellent – My family previously used PDQ for our garbage removal in the Madison area. That was a mistake. No need to rehash the details, but they were rude, defensive, and incompetent (i.e., failed at their only job...picking up garbage). So, we recently switched to McMurtry, like so many of our neighbors have. They are wonderful! When we first signed up for PDQ, it was because we *thought* that they were the most affordable company in town. It turns out that McMurtry costs the same ($17/mo., billed quarterly), but, unlike PDQ, they DON'T suck. Or lie. Or call me names. (Not kidding...) ALL of my interactions with McMurtry have been highly courteous, even fun. They are just nice people who want to do a good job, so they're a pleasure to deal with. We've been with them for several weeks now, and they haven't missed a pick-up, they've done everything exactly when/how they said they would, and I only regret that we weren't with them from the beginning. Very happy new customers!
