Tips for Banfield Pet Hospital

Stay far far away!!. We recently had our family dog get very sick. She stopped eating, diarhea, and vomiting. We took her in to Banfield. They did an exam, some blood work, and a fecal exam. They then explained that the test they had done did not give them any answers to the cause of her sickness. That was to the tune of almost 400.00 dollars. I spoke with them on the phone 3 days later and explained she was no better. They were suppose to talk to the doctor and get back to me. (That never happened.) A week later we took our dog to another vet who did a fecal exam, blood work, and x-rays. They found that her white blood count was 37(way to high), liver enzymes were off, and she had an enlarged liver. They kept her 2 nights while giving her IV fluids and antibiotics. All of this was done for 400.00. The same price as Banfield. Unfortunately our Macy was took sick by this time and did not make it. I hope this review will help save another pet and your pocket books.

Look Elsewhere for Your Pets. Hey guys. I am just about the easiest customer to please. All a vet would have to do to make me happy is tell me my dog Bandit is cute and pretend--even just pretend--to care. After giving Banfield of Hermitage 3 solid years of my dog's life on their Optimum Wellness Package, all I can say is you need to shop around. The wait times are atrocious, the comprehensive exams leave your dog in a tiny cage for 10 hours, and the staff (despite what the other reviews say) is aloof and rushed. And to top it off, I had almost $1000 worth of "neccessary" tests run because the vet said my dog had liver problems, and no one ever even bothered to explain the results, call me (even after repeated calls asking to speak to the vet), or offer any solutions/mdeication/advice/diagnosis. If you love your pet as much as I love my little buddy, go to ValueVet down Lebanon Rd in Hermitage.
