Love, love, love it! Kara, Paula, Liz, etc. y'all are the best! Having a team of folks planning out my social calendar is priceless! Events and Adventures (E&A) has daily events to attend - last night I went to Lazer Tag, we all went out to dinner afterward (unplanned), and had a blast!!! This week I'm signed up for 2 other events and so happy I have things on my calendar to look forward to and good people to do them with. When I first moved to Nashville, I knew only a few (married) folks and was happy to find E&A. I'm grateful for the friendships and connections I have made through this amazing group. Thanks E&A! Cheers! K.B.
I just moved to Nashville for a job and literately I knew no one. I heard this on the radio and thought why not. I am so glad I did. Paula was extremely nice. She listened to exactly what I wanted from this experience. She gave me heads up on certain events that would fit me and what I was looking for in a social scene. Everyone I met here were so fun, excited to meet me and very welcoming. Paula even came to some of the events to make sure I was being introduced to the new people. I love it and every moment I have spent going to events. I have learned the new city as well as made some amazing life long friends. I would recommend this for anyone. No matter how introvert you are or outgoing, there is something for everyone.
Special thanks to Paula for making my experience unforgettable and changing my life!!
So, here is my story. My boss MADE me go to meet with these E&A people after realizing that I was so bored that I was putting in WAY to many hours at work. I had just gone through a divorce and all of my friends in Nashville seemed to be married, or a part of him, on top of that, I lived out in the middle of nowhere and work on a Farm... not the best way to make friends if you ask me. After signing up, I have to admit, I was skeptical... didn't really think I would make friends.. or at least not right of the bat.
Wow was I wrong! My first event was awesome! It was the party bus and I sat with a couple of girls and yelled out the windows the whole time.. it was the most fun I had had in forever! I am still friends with those girls along with tons of others. We hang out outside of E&A as well as the events that we all go to together or see each other at.
It is so much fun to have a group of friends that you can call up anytime to just go have fun!
I haven't just found friendship though... no there is more. I joined for friendship, but I have found that along with friendship comes love, adventure, excitement, and happiness. I met my boyfriend through E&A and couldn't be happier.
If you asked me a year ago if I would be here today as happy as I am I would have never imagined.
So in short... My boss was right... I did need to go talk to those E&A people, and I'm so glad I did:)
HAVING A GREAT TIME! I've been a member for a few months. I heard it on the radio for a long time. I'm so glad I became a member. I've had a blast! It's been everything I wanted and more. I like that it's not just a website where I'm left on my own. They have an office and everyone working there is very nice and helpful.
After trying to meet people online with little success I decided to join Events and Adventures. I met my girlfriend my first month in the group and we have been enjoying the activities since then. It really is a good group of people and it's the quickest way I have made friends in a long time. Thumbs up.
FUN! So far so good. I moved to Nashville 2 years ago and I signed up for Events and Adventures last March. Since then I have met most all of my friends in town through this group. I went camping with the group a couple months ago and I signed up for their Italy trip. I try to go to about 4 events every month, mostly outdoor activities. I would recommend this to single people in town who want to get out more.
NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR TIME – I have been a member of this club for almost a year now. The people that work in the office are very nice but when you go in for the interview they sucker you into joining right then and there. They try to tell you that most of the activities are free but, if you want to join in the activity there is usually still a charge by them. If it is a bar or club you have to pay full price to get in and pay for your drinks. Occasionally E&A will host a party at another members home. If you sign up for any of those parties, you have to pay a fee for that as well. They say it is to cover food and drinks. I usually eat beforehand because it is mostly junk food and I don't drink alcohol. Plus, where did the $2000.00 I paid to join go? What does it cover? I will tell you, absolutely nothing other than the employees salary which is only a handful of people. I was told that there are nearly 1000 members. Someone sure is making an awful lot of money at $2000.00 a person per year. I am sure a lot of is to cover the rent on their posh office they have downtown. Most of the activities usually takes place in a bar, club or a restaurant. This is difficult for me since I am a diabetic and I have asthma. I have observed the gentlemen giving most of their attention to the ladies that are under 30 only, unless you are drunk and appear easy. I also noticed the heavier, older, or average looking people were almost always ignored. Thankfully I have met a couple of friends that I have some things in common. But, in the future I think I will just take my chances elsewhere. This club is not worth my time or money. Some of the men are just looking for a quick lay and is somewhat pushy.
I joined E&A a year ago and have attended many events and made lots of new friends. I go to the events and also do things on my own with friends I've made while in the group. The reason why I decided to write this is because something great just happened to me because I was a member of E&A. I recently lost my job after 5 years. I was devastated. Fortunately, I have made some great friends and one of them told me about an opening at her company. I went for an interview and ended up getting the job! Not only has E&A been fun for me by doing lots of different things, but it has been a great way to make friends and network.
I recently moved to Nashville for a job after graduating from college. I found myself missing the friends I had in college, so I decided to check out Events and Adventures after hearing about them on the radio a bunch. I was surprised when I actually met with Kara, the person on the radio ad. I joined and I'm glad I did. I already have some great friends and meet more people every event I go to. Everyone seems so nice. I also have been invited to some private parties outside of the events they put on. No complaints so far.
I joined Events and Adventures almost a year ago and it has been one of the best decisions I've made. When I moved to Nashville I did so on a whim...no real reason other than it was new to me...so I knew no one here. After a year living here I still hadn't met many people (I travel for work). E&A was a chance to do some of the things I don't often do alone (bowling, horseback riding, ballroom dancing, etc.), meet a few people and just have a great reason to get out and stop being a loner. I've made a lot of friends and I would have written this same review a couple of months into it....but now I also get to add that I've met a wonderful man and together we journeyed to Ireland with the Events and Adventures group in March. You absolutely get out of it what you put into it...join, GO TO THE EVENTS, and be ready and willing to have a great time!
