Best Consignment Store in Nashville. It's true. We can't take upholstered furniture that has been enjoyed by cats or dogs. Who would want it? I am truly sorry that this person was upset about that. It is really hard to tell someone that their furnishings are too old or that we can't afford to have a child with allergies affected by cat hair (it's really the dandruff) have that contact.

As for the lack of response...we try to get back to every email (we get about 20 a day) as quickly as we can. If you are moving you can't wait until the last minute to call us. We have certain standards at our store and Ms. Nashnative's pieces did not meet our criteria. It happens. We take in about 20% of what we look at. We clearly state on our website that we don't take items that have been enjoyed by cats or dogs. Maybe other stores do. but we don't. Don't you just love anonymous internet sniping?

We are moving soon and have some very nice furniture we want to consign (our first experience with this). I contacted this store and emailed them pictures as they requested, which is very time consuming and heard nothing. Next, I sent an email asking them to respond to me as this was a timely matter, and still no response. So, against my better judgement, I called them and finally got an appointment for the owner to come out to my house. As he walked through the door, my cat greeted him (this has a point I will get too) and I proceeded to walk him through my entire house and show him everything from an antique sideboard to a pair of clayton marcus sofas...all pictures I had already sent. So, after all of this he informs me that they can't take items from people with cats!!! And, they don't take "old" items, like my antique sideboard. What a waste of time!! Maybe they should ask this question on the front end??? He told me it was on their website, but maybe they should direct consumers to this tucked away info before all the trouble on both sides?? He first explained that the no cat policy was b/c a child could have asthma that would be shopping at their store! First of all, a child with asthma can also be affected by dog hair AND someone with serious asthma/allergies is either not going to shop at a consignment store OR have their items professional cleaned after purchase. Come to find out that he is allergic to cats, so this is probably why the discremination. My stuff is very nice and in excellent condition with no cat hair on anything. He made me feel like my stuff was dirty b/c I own a cat. Crazy! Glad Finders Keepers has a reasonable policy regarding cat owners. Looking through this stores website their stuff is dated and out of style anyway....my stuff is for a more discerning clientele!

My overall shopping experience at Classy Cat Consignment Furniture was exceptional! The owners Paul and Phyllis were truly accommodating as I was lokking to furnish every room in my new home, not to mention I am a very picky shopper. i was extremely impressed with the immense selection and rich quality of all the furnishings. I would definitely recommend the Classy Cat for all of your funiture and consignment needs.

I just wanted to thank you profusely for your help in selling 99.8% of the items we gave to you on consignment. I can't believe how quickly everything went and how worry-free it was for me. Your prompt payment, as promised, was also extremely appreciated. I only wish you could sell my condo!

Got burned. I was in the store today bought some things and went home to think about the some larger items. Went back later in the day and went in to purchase an outdoor set that was displayed outside. Told the owner I wanted to purchase the set and he said good, there is a couple that has been out there for over an hour sitting on the set. I had no idea as when I entered the store they were in a heated discussion. He went out to get the tag and proceeded to tell them that they had better decide now since someone just came in to purchase it. Well of course they felt pressure and then he came in to tell me so sorry, they decided they want it now. In my opinion I thought he should have told them that someone that had been in earlier had just arrived and wanted to purchase the set or he should have told me that they were interested in purchasing. I felt he used me to pressure them to purchase and I got the shaft.

Great furniture consignment shop. I recommend Phyllis and her shop highly. I had a few unusual items that I held onto for a long time. I didn't believe I could get enough for them to warrant handing them over to a consignment shop. I was wrong. Classy Cat sold them in a reasonable amount of time and I am very happy with the return on my money. Their location is a little hard to find across from Costco (Cool Springs) parking lot, but once you find it, it's easy and very convienient. Thanks Phyllis.

Classy Cat Sold My Furniture!. I wanted to thank you for your help in selling my furniture for my move to Florida. Everything went extremely well and was stress-free. Phyllis was an absolute joy to work with. My furniture sold very quickly and the check arrived before I had finished unpacking! Classy Cat is the best and I will recommend you to all of my friends!
