I have been going to Dr. Smithson and and her wonderful team since 2007 and would highly recommend it if you are looking for a change. From the time you enter the door, you do not feel like you are at a "dentist office". They are clearly skilled in their profession but the office itself as well as the people make it a very inviting place to be. I have to say that I am not a "fan" of having to go to the dentist but given you only get one set of teeth, these are the people you can trust to take good care of you!

Dr. Smithson has been my personal dentist for years and I love her and the staff. However, the real awakening for me as to how great she really is came after a horrible experience between my daughter and a notable pediatric dentist in the area. My daughter was terrified and would not attempt to go back to the dentist afterward. Knowing that she had some needs, I finally convinced her to go with me to Dr. Smithson. She did so well with Dr. Smithson and immediately became comfortable with her and her staff. I am forever in her debt that I can now take my daughter to the dentist without even a hint of tears. :)

When I think of Dr. Smithson, the word "reassuring" comes to mind. As my child needs 2 root canals, there is no one else I would trust her to. Dr. Smithson's reassuring demeanor and sedation techniques are perfect for my child. She truly does "Cater to Cowards"!

Since I moved to the Franklin are in 2000, I initially saw one dentist who didn't impress me and over-charged for a cleaning. So much so , that his own hygenist wasn't impressed with him.

I found Dr. Smithson through a recommendation, and have never left! Her staff is the most polite, and entertaining. I have had several fillings and an implant with no long term discomfort. There is the occational "weird" feeling that subsides over a short period of time, like breaking in a new pair of shoes.

Dr. Smithson has a very appropriate touch for the job at hand, and has always shown concern for my ability to "feel" discomfort.

I strongly recommend Dr. Smithson for anyone who uses a dentist regularly or doesn't due to fear.

I have been going to Dr. Smithson for over 20 years. She is extremely attentive and gentle when need to be. If you are nervous about a procedure, I never feel hesitant to tell her, and she always makes sure I am comfortable (as I am definitely a coward). I strongly recommend her services, and as long as I am in Nashville, I will continue to go back.

My family and I have all been patients of Dr. Smithson for over 20 years. We would not entrust our dental health to anyone but her and the staff. We have never considered any alternative and would travel even further than Brentwood to ensure that we receive the quality care that she has always provided. From appointment setting, treatment plans, to procedures we have always felt that no matter the cost she is the only doctor that we would entrust with our beautiful smiles.

Excellent Dental Care. I am a practicing Dentist and I have my dental needs met by a person who is on the cutting edge of proven Dental techniques, I trust her and her staff. The staff are very friendly and caring, The Dr. is very gentle in her dental work, has always made me comfortable. I go back tomorrow for a new crown to be put on, not stressing about appointment.

She ruined my teeth.. Dr. Smithson told me I needed 8 crowns. She did four on one side and my mouth has never been the same. I am still in pain and plan on taking this to the Dental Board. Two other dentists told me that she didn't fit the crowns right and that the teeth are still exposed on the bottom. On one visit I caught them trying to take an x-ray of a tooth they had already x-rayed because I had some insurance for the year left. During one of the crown procedures I woke up from sedation gagging, tried to get her attention, and she started screaming and cussing at me. This was all very disturbing and I just wanted to be done with her but now I'm still in pain. The only solution is to cut off the crowns she installed and pay for new ones. Later, she did apologize for screaming and cussing and agreed that it was unprofessional. By the way, two other dentists told me that I didn't need the other crowns that she wanted to do. I wonder if I really needed the four she messed up. I am so sorry I trusted this dentist and I'm scared that my mouth will never be the same.
