Poor bug treatment and poor business practice. When I asked them to do a second treatment because the first treatment seemed ineffective they advised that they were going above and beyond their service agreement. They came back out and sprayed and this time placed traps. The traps caught the critters - hence, the traps work better than their spray. Their business practice isn't any better. They decided to come out and spray when I had requested for them not to come out. I had informed them that my wife was pregnant and that I did not want any treatment unless I saw in writing that their treatment was safe for pregnancy. Americare totally disregarded my request and concerns and they refused to provide anything regarding the safety of their product. In fact, their "manager" argued with me on the phone and in person. In person, while making final payment at their S Walnut office, my experience wasn't nay better. I will never use this company and never recommend to anyone.
Americare provides substandard customer care. I am a landlord and have relied upon Americare to solve a problem tenants were having with biting insects. Americare came to treat the problem but were called back to re-treat 30 days later because the first treatment was completely ineffective. On the 2nd treatment the technician never entered the unit where the problem was concentrated so only the exterior was treated without any treatment to the interior. What is dramatically illogical is that the dispatcher chose to present a 3rd treatment as a favor exceeding the warranty period. He gave me the choice of accepting a directive that there would either be no further free corrective re-treatments if the bugs persisted or he would delete me from the books and terminate the account. Hilarious! If you like the bugs you have, Americare will treat them and make them even more fat and comfy in your property!
Bad Business. I called Ameri Care asking them to check my new home for termites. They sent a high pressure salesman who talked me into using them and, of course, they found termites. I contracted them for a one time service which they performed. They promised to remove the old traps as part of the service, which they did NOT do, and then refused to come back and do it. I was required to put down a $500 deposit before they would start. About a week later I got a bill for the entire amount contracted for without any mention of the deposit. I contacted them and said I wouldn't pay the balance until they corrected the error. They got real snotty and rather than correct their error they turned me over to collections and that went on my credit report. I talked to them and the collection agency and they said they would not remove it unless I not only paid my bill with Ameri Care but also paid the collection agency. This was messing up my perfect credit report so I decided to pay it. Then they still refused to remove it from the report. This was 6 years ago and it is still on my report even though I contact them yearly asking them to please remove it. I have paid dearly for the mistake of using this company and was informed from a reputable company that I still had termites. Please don't use this bad company and if you must be sure to document EVERY thing.
Thank YOU!!!.

Wow...Great Job. Last October, I purchased a new home. As a condition of the mortgage, a termite inspection was performed finding no problems. However, as a matter of routine and living in the south, I find it prudent to engage a pest control specialist once or twice a year just to keep things in check. As I am busy mom with limited time off, I tend to schedule multiple vendors for service on the same day. I knew I had this Friday off for the dentist so pest control was scheduled about two weeks in advance. My appointment was for noon and the technician, Steve Johnson, showed up right on time. I already knew the cost for a one-time general service call when I made the appointment. Mr. Johnson introduced himself and gathered my input on any problems and he commenced his task. He sprayed the exterior base of the house and then, after donning protective booties, went inside to complete his mission. Upon conclusion, he reported no problem areas and said the only thing he really found were some spiders which apparently are normal in this area - particularly since the summer flooding in middle Tennessee.
Good Customer Service. Americare did a great job. Prompt courteous service.
Amazing Customer Service. I purchased a home last September which had been treated prior to purchase by Ameri Care. I received repeated letters asking to continue my warranty and hadn’t a clue when or by who it was treated. I called and spoke with an AMAZING woman named Laura who was more than helpful with information regarding my home and treatment. She was down to earth and spoke to me on a personal level not just someone trying to regain business. I will be giving AmeriCare a positive word of mouth and will use them in any future treating needed!
No Good!!. So, when I bought my house 3 years ago, it was inspected and treated for termites by Americare. The previous home owners paid for the first year of coverage with Americare. When it was time for my annual inspection and renewal, I was told the house was still termite free and was asked to pay for another year of the service contract. The technician that was doing the inspection said there were so other things that needed to be checked to be 100% certain the house was free of termites. I waited and waited for Americare to come back to the house to complete the work. After a while, I called to inquire and then someone else came out and said the house was fine. I chose not to renew the contract at the time, because the treatment should last some time while I looked for another company. I simply wasn't pleased with the customer service provided by Americare and for some reason I didn't trust what they were selling. Fast forward two years and guess what? I have termites! I had another company (nationally recognized and reputable) come to the house today and they found termites! Come to find out the chemical treatment that Americare uses is one of the cheapest on the market. I guess you get what you pay for. I'm glad that I have found a company that will actually get rid of the termites and is a company I can trust. I would NOT recommend Americare to anyone.
As the owner of Ameri Care, I am so sorry for falling short of the service mark with you.
I can say, we work very hard to provide Quality Service and Great Prices. We service thousands of homes and customers each year, and receive great comments on our services.
We do have a warranty to retreat and repair any future damage that termites may cause. We wish you well with your current pest provider and if I can ever help help or be of assistance please contact me personally at 615-893-7111
