Nice Family Restaurant. First off let me say I am neither family or friend but just a person that likes to take family to places with great food and service. I have been there a few times and have never had a bad experience and know others that feel the same way. I used to go to Jet's but like the food here better. People that like Pie In The Sky just have no tastebuds.

Not Worth the Wait. Went to this new pizza place the other day because a friend said they were pretty good... this friend must have never tasted NY style pizza before because this was NOT that kinda pie.

It's like every other italian (little i) kinda food you find in the south. Bland, Boring, Blah... You'd be better off going to Pie in the Sky or Jet's to get some good tasting pizza, rather than wait 1/2 hour (place is super small) to eat something you can make in your own kitchen. The 5 star reviews seem to be from family members or close friends because they keep mentioning the owners... which is fishy.

Im sorry its not worth the wait , but we have been getting an overwhelming response from the locals, and we have only been open six weeks. We are not a corporate restaurant, and we long to bring a family atmosphere. All of our food is made to order, so you may wait a little longer. Depending on what time of the day you come, because we are a busy restaurant. Due to the other reviews that are five star, those are not family members , those are customers that have enjoyed there experience here. I would like for you enjoy the same experience, so if there is anything I can do for you , please call the restaurant and ask for Anthony. I hope that I can make your experience better. Thank you for your review, I know I cant make everyone happy, but I am trying.

Worth The Wait. I went to Amico's for the first time on 2/28 because every time I try and go on the weekend the place is busy. Monday night was busy but not like the weekend and after trying the pizza and some of my wife's ziti sicilian I understand what the buzz is about. The food is excellent and the portions were enough for us to take home. Service was right on as well. Will be back and will highly recommend to others.

Wonderful Food and Service. Went the first week with family and even while they were working out the kinks the food was still very good. Fast forward to now and the place is just wonderful. They have definitely got things all worked up which just shows in the fact that they are always busy. To even mention the other so called pizza places in the area is an insult to true Italian food lovers. Keep up the good work Mr and Mrs Amico.

Fantastic. Just ate there for the first time last night 2/28. Loved it and will be back plenty with friends and family. Have been to Pie In The Sky and Mom and Pops and there is no comparison. Pie In The Sky and Mom and Pops don't hold a candle to the quality of the food and the great atmosphere. This is the best Italian food since Uncle Gio's closed.

Meh.. It's about what you'd expect for an average pizza-sub place in the northeast. Every town in New England has a place like this. So-so food and pizza that's usually popular with the locals, but beyond that, it doesn't get much action.

I tried the pizza and the chicken-parm sub. They filled me up and weren't unpleasant to eat, but were not worth mentioning to a friend.

This is kind of sad, as I was hoping for real, New York style pizza to take the place of the now-defunct Uncle Gios on Nolensville Road, which served an amazing pie, but went under 2 years ago for some reason. Bricks just doesn't come close. Pie in the Sky is a close second, but Gios was really good. Amicos, is fair fare if you have a hankering for something other than Papa Johns/Dominos/Pizza Hut, and don't want to spend a few bucks more for better pizza at Pie in the Sky.

Not Real NY Food. Tried...

Stromboli - no flavor

Pizza - toppings were minimal and they were the only think you could taste

Meatball Sub - sauce was too runny

taramisu - soggy

Tried this place on a weekday and a weekend. Just not what I am expecting from "Italian" cooking... more like an American Italian like American Chinese/ will not be going back. Mom & Pop's is better and so is Jet's and Pie in the Sky if you want good pizza, but if you like Italian decorating, this is the place for you!

Sorry for your bad experience. Like I have been saying we have been open for six weeks, and we are trying to get it right. I wish people that didnt have a good experience would call and express there unsatisfactory , so that I can have a chance to make it right, because we have been so overwhelmingly busy and have not had enough help, it has been a challenge. Thank for your review, I hope we can make your experience better next time.

A New Favorite Restaurant. Awesome food and Service. Pizza is the way a New York Style Pie should be. Garlic Rolls actually have garlic. Service was fast and friendly. Please keep up the good work and you will have a loyal customer for along time to come.

Awesome Food and Service. I have been to Amico's on a regular basis since they have opened in January. Every time we go the place is busy but the wait is never to long and the quality of the food and service makes it worthwhile. My kids love the pizza which is the best pizza we have had in the 5 years that we have been in Tn. My wife found a favorite dish which is a combination of baked ziti and eggplant and I love the steak stromboli. The food is always served hot and fresh and the portions are always more than we can eat and always bring some home for another time.

All my neighbors have raved about the place and I will tell anyone that I meet about the Wonderful experience we always have at Amico's. It is Run by 2 wonderful people that are always on hand which is a rarity that you can actually find owners working in their own places as well as walking around making sure everything is ok.

I drive past Mom and Pops and pie in the sky all the time and they are never busy but everythime I drive past Amico's it is always busy so I would not worry about some of the reviews because it is definitely just a few people that don't know what real italian food is supposed to taste like.

I've Tasted Better. My husband and I went there the other night because the atmosphere looked fun and this place is pretty close to our house.

When we got there the server was prompt and we ordered a cheese pizza and a salad to split.

When the pizza came out the sauce was too runny and had hardly any taste, and the dough was too thick for a real Ny pizza. It wasn't very good at all. I mean it could be okay with like PHut or some chain like that, but for these prices the pizza should at least taste fresh and good. Salad was just okay. Really thought it would have been better, but there are a couple other places near by that are way better.
