Tips for Dolce's Salon Color & Spa

High end prices, low end results!. This salon is horrible and I don't think it will be in business very long. I went to Dolce's expecting great results but I was very disappointed. Haircut was $55 for a stylist that had only been out of school for 2 years!! She was an amateur and had no idea what she was doing. HORRIBLE. This is one of the worst haircuts I have ever had. While I was there I also got a manicure and pedicure which was horrible. The young lady was very sweet and polite, but I have had better manis and pedis at beauty schools for half the price. My nails never completely dried and now I have marks all over them! So I paid close to 80 dollars for a manicure and pedicure that I could have done better myself. STAY AWAY!!

>>>> Worst Salon Experience EVER! <<<<. ** FYI: I am a regular customer; not a former employee **

2 regular gals experience at Dolce's Salon in Franklin, Tn Cool Springs area

(please dont discredit the Brentwood location)

Booked pedis/manis/color and cuts with a friend for her birthday at this salon.

DURATION

·We show up 10 minutes before noon. About 12:15 only I was taken back for a pedicure, leaving my friend in the waiting area.

·Almost an hour later, my friend gets a chair to start her color.

·We remain completely separated for the duration of our being there until I was done and able to sit with my friend for the remaining 2 hours of her hair color application.

· at this salon for a total of 5 hours, that is an inexcusableamount of time – we left feeling famished and exhausted – no beverages were offered and the day was almost over. Our dinner plans had to be cancelled.

Mani’s & Pedi’s

·The foot soak tub water was so scolding hot I had to jerk my feet out right away and have it re-run

·staff could not locate the nail cutters for the pedis or manis so instead our nails were treated to file burn instead of clipping (thats right, NO nail clippers in a full service salon)

·The 2nd pedicure soak sink was clogged, therefore unusable, seperating the pedi time with my friend.

·Also, during my pedi, I was nicked on my big toe when having the cuticles removed and soon after treated to a cotton ball saturated in polish remover right on the open cut – ouch!

·When asked to pick a polish color out of the scarce group of 5 selections available, I settled with one and was later asked to pick again because no one could get the top undone.

·Manicure did not include cleaning under the fingernails (what’s the point?) or cut (no nail clippers) –

·I received the buffing portion of the manicure and my friend did not during her mani

·Polish with both mani’s and my pedi did not go all the way to the bottom of the nail – they look like fully painted nails would after a week

Hair Color

·Asked for a new color, explained what was desired and ended up with color/highlights that the colorist thought would be best

·When the foil was removed, the highlights were a bright, almost platinum blonde (not what was requested) – result of the foil being left on way too long

·We had to ask her to put toner over the highlight because of the over processing which we ended up having to pay an additional $95 for (why should we be required to pay for the colorist mess up? Are you kidding me?) – this reeks of scam… be careful!

·after 5 hours, we could not wait to leave - my friend has to leave with no style or blow dry, just saturated hair – Yet, she was still charged for “style”

The color & highlight took nearly the entire 5 hours to complete for my friend (on her b-day!) – totally not ok.

Check Out

·We paid a grand total of $440 (+ tips) – so nearly $500 for this disaster. (It felt more like WE should have been paid for getting through it)

·I was given the 15% off, however the birthday girl was robbed of that discount and the 50% off color services which could have saved her a bundle on a $250 tab (this including the $95 for that toner and the style she did not get) !!

Our credit cards were swiped quicker than we could remind them of the discount; as if we would just forget that was the Salons offer at that time -

only after I threatened a bad review if no response was received did I get a response; a very vague reply from "the owner" w/little compassion & NO mention of any kind of refund.

I was only reminded, several months later, that I hadn't posted my review when a Dolces discount advertisement showed up in my inbox today.

So there it is!! The only thing that would make the $500 this salon took from us worth it is to detail the truth and hope that I can keep someone else from wasting time & money at Dolce's Salon Color & Spa in Franklin.

dont waist your time.. i wouldn't waist my time going to a salon who markets themselves as "high end" but in actuality are nothing even close. I worked there for a short period of time and I agree with the girl a few lines down...anna is a greedy little woman. From the short time that i knew her, she overcharged everyone, she even MADE a co worker charge close to 200 dollars to put a darker color on a woman's hair and called it a "color correction". When I left she tried not to pay me for the work I did, i had to threaten calling the better business bureau to get anything. Even then i only got half of what i was owed...and when i called to inform her (nicely) she told me to stop bothering her and hung up on me...that was very professional if i say so myself. I dont want to say anything about the other stylists that are there but as far as anna goes...dont waist your money go somewhere else....get someone who do what she does...if not better and pay way less. The whole place is very unorganized and not worth your time.

Dolce's Highly Recommended!. I have to say that Stylist Amy at Dolce's goes so above and beyond the norm in her work! Her coloring, cutting and styling are wonderful, I've never been happier anywhere! And she makes it a fun and pleasant experience...makes you feel pampered and cared for while knowing you'll look beautiful when you walk out the door.

Want to look beautiful and stay that way? Make an apointment with Amy a regular on your calendar, no matter your age or lifestyle. You'll get beautiful style you can receate at home easily.

And yes, I'm a customer, NOT an owner or advertiser of the salon! I just want everyone to know they can expect quality work at Dolce's.

Fortunately!. I came across these reviews and I can I just say that I am shocked that this girl...Jessica Bayne has said these things. Fortunately for Dolces, she is no longer working there for being a criminal! I worked at a salon with her before she started working at Dolces and saw the same exact things happen! She did a relaxer on a woman and the poor womans hair almost fell out!!! If any other salon reads this...beware if she tries to work for you! And lets speak KARMA....Jessica Bayne...I feel sorry for the karma you will experience. I pray for you!

Response to last review. I have 43 years of experience in the beauty industry and I have never seen a former employee speak so untrue about me and my salon. I have worked extremely hard to get to where I am and all I can say is thay I pray for those people who have that much anger in their hearts.

unfortunate for hair industry. the unfortunate thing about this salon, the owner is very greedy, money hungry...she charges high end prices and if u see her work it is a hot mess very limited knwowledge. Anna walker does not do good hair she has a very bottom base knowledge of hair and she has been doing hair for thirty years and her work is at best beauty school work, she lies often to her employees and clients just to get more money. if u see the hi lites she does u wud feel sorry for the people that actually pay anna walker...... she is trying to make her son a barber, he is lazy and unmotivated with no knowledge anything about hair....cool springs is used to top of the line haircare dolces is a pityful unorganized mess...she even cheats on her taxes. IRS! she is very crooked and under the table. the turnover rate for her salon is ridiculus,,, do ur homework before going here, u will find out the truth.....ps she has citysearch delete her bad reviews....its is amazing how disrespectful, her son can be, but i guess u can do whatever u want when ur mom pays all ur bills. this place needs to be taken out of the cool springs area, she should be on Gallatin road at best. look at the webite it is as unorganized as the running of this salon...nothing is uniform on the website, they are not even sure of all the discounts they post, the owner insists on having her pic on the website...this is a bootleg salon. they do hav a stylist that a moments peace fired so u may get lucky with the high end salons leftovers. DO UR RESEARCH BEFORE GOING HERE....they dont even do updos.....save urself some heart ache....Anna Walker is not where u want to spend ur hard earned money...there are great salons in cool springs....u wud be better off at any other salon......

Unfortunately, this was posted by an employee who was fired for stealing products from the salon. I am the receptionist at Dolces in Brentwood and I will say that Anna Walker does amazing hair! She is able to charge high end prices because she has been a color correctionist for 30 years and is extremely talented. There has been a number of people who went to other salons and had their hair screwed up and everytime she has been able to not only fix it, but make it look beautiful. We have never deleted citysearch reviews...we are not authorized to do that. However, I wish we could when I see this review of lies. Also, we do style updos.

**Great Addition to Cool Springs!**. I live in Alara and recieved a free haircut coupon and called for an appointment. I was in that afternoon and Jessica saw me. She was so sweet and did a great job. I am so excited to have a salon so close to me with such great people. I will definitely go back!! :)
