Best tattoo shop ever. Now I'm hooked.. I got my first major tattoo (had a really small 1) yesterday from Lenny Renken @ Black 13 and am ecstatic!!!! I'm new to the tattoo world & I had never seen tattoos like those done @ Black 13. The shop is so clean & relaxed. A very cool atmosphere for anyone, regardless of tattoo experience. I'm definitely going back to Black 13 for more. I can't say enough nice things about the staff & the artwork. AMAZING!!!!!!!!

Best Designers, Artists, and Experts ANYwhere!. the guys at black 13 rock! i had six tats before going to steve for my last two inks. the BEST work of my whole body. the place is totally relaxed, leather couches, clean, plasmas on the walls to watch whatever you want while getting inked. the guys are very cool, relaxed, and conversational. easy parking at cummins station A MUST FOR YOUR NEXT INK!

This tattoo parlor can't be beat. I really can't believe a tattooing experience can be any better than this. If you're anywhere near Nashville...I'd say anywhere within the continental states...Black 13 is a no brainer. I traveled from Knoxville, approximately 2.5 hours for a cover-up session. I found them on the internet and was convinced by all 3 artists' portfolios that they'd be able to do the job. Prior to my appointment, I was really pleased with my interactions over the phone with Doy, one of the owners of the parlor. Upon arrival, I was surprised at how swanky the building and the parlor was itself - such a relaxing atmosphere. The guys were courteous and professional. I had a six hour session with Lenny Renkin - had a great time. Really, the artists/owners were really interactive, and Lenny was really receptive to my input on my tattoo. This piece is remarkable. People think it's fake because of its bold colors and artistry - I really believe these guys are in the upper echelon of artistry with what they do. Lenny's works are gorgeous, and if you look at the portfolios, you're going to see similar from the others. I hate to be so glowing, but really, it was such a good move to make the day trip over to Nashville for this piece. Making my drive back at night, I was already planning my next piece - it's certainly going to be done at Black 13. Check these guys out! I'm certain you'll be as impressed.

Best tattoo experience... Black 13. About a week ago, I decided to get the piece on my lower back fixed up. I called a friend who recommended Black 13 based on word of mouth. I called and they were able to get me an appointment in two days ... Labor Day. I was thrilled! The shop manager was very kind and kept in touch since the appointment before me was taking a bit longer then was planned due to his request for more art work. When I got there, the shop was clean and well decorated. I was treated kindly and Steve was able to create an entirely new tattoo based on my old design. The atmosphere was fun and that helped me through the process a little bit easier. I walked out proud of my new tattoo. If you are looking for a casual atmosphere, some great guys, and a wonderful piece then I highly recommend Black 13 Tattoo.

Best Tattoo Studio EVER.. Well I heard about Black 13 from a friend who had some work done there. Lenny Renken did the piece on my friend and it turned out absolutely AMAZING. It seriously looked like a painting. I have never seen anything like it. I couldn't live with myself if I didn't call them immediately and set up an appointment. I talked to one of the owners Doy. He couldn't have been more professional. Very polite, asked me if there was an artist I had in mind and I told him Lenny. He let me know some of Lenny's openings and also gave me Lenny's email so we could be on the same page about what I wanted to get. We set up the appointment for the next week. I emailed Lenny to let him know what I was wanting to get. He emailed me back in a timely manner, telling me he would get started on drawing it. DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT: I showed up, Lenny and I sat down and he showed me what he had drawn up, I had him make a couple of little changes. The tattoo took about 4 hours. It turned out so amazing I dont even have words for it. I dont think I'll be going to anyone but Lenny for a while. His work is just stunning. I had an amazing experience at BLACK13 and I think you would too.

BLACK 13 TATTOO THE BEST TATTOO PARLOR IN NASHVILLE AND TN PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!. So i have been living here for 10 years and i have always struggled or had to travel outa state to get a good tattoo. Every shop i came across here was just mediocre over priced poor quality art. I have never been treated with respect anywhere here. Attitudes and errogance was what i recieved......Thats until i came across BLACK 13 TATTOO in the heart of downtown NASHVILLE TN.. It is absolutely the BEST parlor in NASHVILLE and all of TENNESSEE PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is Beautiful,Clean,High Class, and the most humbling and amazing artists i have ever even seen. I am so happy to know that i have the opportunity to be a part of it. The owner Josh Woods who is largly one of the top artists in and outa country to date. He is just amazing....Tattoos look like there gonna reach of the arm and grab ya... than they have 3 other huge artists Lenny Renken,Steve Martin,Sean Herman who are just as well known as he. They are a power house of talent and NO ONE should be getting tattooed anywhere else it's just hands down a no brainer. So i had to get on here and share my experience to everyone here that this place will CHANGE YOUR LIFE!!!!!! Go Check it OUT YA"LL

Fantastic Tattoos. Black 13 is a fantastic tattoo shop. Not only is this shop in a great location but it looks great and has artists who do outstanding work. Steve Martin has been doing mine and my husband's tattoos since we moved to the area. If your looking for quality custom artwork, he is your guy. He can take any idea you've got and turn it into a masterpiece. We have never been disappointed.

My badass tattoo. Steve martin at black 13 took on my challenge of a marine tattoo. he took my crapy picture i had printed off and turned it into a freaking masterpiece. If u r looking for a tight tattoo go see the guys at black 13
