Good local family doctor.
I have been to this office twice. Today, and in Feb. of 2008. In the time between my visits, a new doctor has come to this office and replaced the old one. Along with that, all of the office staff has changed.
The review posted above giving this office one star is horribly misguided. I could possibly see it being true of the old staff, though my experience with the old staff was fine.
...it certainly could NOT be said of the current doctor and their staff. Everyone today was very nice. I called at 7:30 am and asked if I could walk in, even though the office didn't open for another 30 minutes. They were very accommodating, and I walked straight in and back to a waiting room. I did end up sitting there and waiting for about 30 minutes, though. They had a book in there to read, and I was a walk in, so I didn't really mind the wait.
When I came in 2008, I was prescribed an anti-biotic and requested one from the list that I could get for free from Publix. The doctor said 'okay,' and wrote me up for one that would cost 40 bucks. Of course, I didn't know this until I got to the pharmacy, and I then had to go back and get a new prescription from him. A little annoying.
Today, when I needed an anti-biotic, the doctor was very familiar with what was on the list for free at Publix, wrote me the prescription, and even gave me a free sample for the first two days to get me started. I love free samples.
So all in all, the new doctor, Dr. Kalra, is very good. I'd recommend it for anyone. Dr. Kalra has been there for about 9 or 10 months, I think...so any review from before mid to late 2008 should be ignored.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!.
This is perhaps the WORST clinic I've ever been to.
The front office receptionist, Yolanda, is racists and demeaning. She literally was heard, by 4 waiting patients, saying that she did not 'wait on' WHITE TRASH and that they could sit and wait all day for all she cared.
These were very sick men and women. In fact, one young girl, passed out, fell in the floor and she would not help at all. Another waiting patient had to help the young girl back up to her seat. When he asked for a towel to wet in hopes to cool her off, or if she could call the nurse, she refused to help her.
I don't know about you, but I do NOT want to trust the care of me or my family to someone who is this contentious. This is not a 'rumor' ok - I witnessed this first hand. I advised the young woman and the elderly man waiting to file a complaint with the ACLU as well as HCA regarding what I saw happen to both of them. * Un-related, strangers, both sick - both treated horribly.
