This man is a thief and very dishonest. I had dealings with him several years ago and he stole my deposit and my expensive wrought iron railing. He never returned my phone calls and I took him to court twice and of course he never showed up.

Be very careful dealing with Michael Minneker. Our project with Michael Minneker at Element Exteriors did not turn out well. There are a number of reasons why including that he did not install the same materials as he quoted and that he has ignored our numerous attempts to contact and resolve the issues.

There are more honest people to do business with out there. Good luck!

Note that he has recently changed his business name, likely because he got the same negative reviews previously.

Perfect!. Michael did a wonderful job on our fence this fall! He was very competitive in pricing and added a personal touch to the job. He was definitely focused on his work and making sure everything was done right! Thanks!! A definite recommend for anyone looking for custom service in Nashville.

Referred to me...would refer to you!. Michael was one of several bids I received. He was in the middle on pricing but was open to the vision I had of what I wanted. Others seemed to have a "one-way" approach to building a fence. He met the expectations of the design I had in mind and was very personable throughout the process. My neighbors have been flocking to see the fence and the pickiest of neighbors (craftsmen themselves) are thrilled with the results as well. Cannot imagine how 3 feedbacks, that were negative, all came in on the same day against his work or ethics. I am awaiting a final piece to my fence and Michael has been in contact with me as to when it will come in. I have no concerns or worries that he will follow through as he has done so all along. It should be noted that Michael was referred to me from another happy "ArtDecko" fence owner and that is how I connected with him. I will recommend as well.

Great Custom Fence job!. Our neighborhood has its own privacy fence specs and Michael was able to accommodate our project. He did a great job - workmanship, friendliness, response to contact, time to complete to project, handling changes we needed last minute, etc. - were all top notch! Our neighbors have used him and are also very pleased. We'd recommend his work to anyone looking for a great custom privacy fence!

AD showed up on job site when scheduled and completed my covered deck in two days. If you want high quality and professional craftsmen then AD to for you.

Well built Privacy Fence. I have had alot of bad luck in the past with Independent Contracters but, Michael did everything he said he would do. We were very pleased with the job he did from start to finish. He started in a timely manner and when the job was finished he cleaned up everything. I would highly recommend him.

FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO BUILD YOUR FENCE!!!. I would strongly recommend finding someone else to do your fence!!!! Mike seemed like an upstanding small business owner when I met him. However, he failed to return to complete the staining of the fence, and he also never fixed a gate that he installed UPSIDE DOWN!!!!! As a teacher, I not only teach the academic subjects, I also teach children about character and how to treat others. Mike has failed in this category, as he will not even return phonecalls or emails. This is the only time I have ever written a negative review for anything, but it was very well-deserved. FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO BUILD YOUR FENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will rip you off. This is the first negative review I ever wrote and it is deservingly so. About 3 months ago, I contacted several fence companies including Artdecko. Mike was the friendliest and cheapest out there plus I am always a supporter of small business so I naturally went with him. In addition, there was a coupon for a free seal and stain if you acted on buying a fence before the end of the month. I couldn't go wrong, so I thought. The fence itself was mediocre but I wasn't upset about that. You obviously get what you pay for and I got a mediocre fence for a decent price. What really upset me were the two other occurrences. The gate that Mike bragged about prior to putting up the fence is not even usable. I have to put rocks next to it just to keep it closed so my dogs don't get out. When I mentioned it to him when he came to pick up his other half of the money he said he would be able to fix it that weekend. After he left with the rest of his money, he failed to ever come back and fix it. The second thing that really upset me was the stain and seal. He was suppose to come in mid April to complete this part but when mid April came he never showed. I contacted him Probably 10 times by e-mail and 20 times by phone over the last month trying to give him the benefit of the doubt but he refused to call me back or follow up with me. Now a month later, I am writing my first bad review with a bad taste in my month for independent builders. Going forward I will pay the few hundred extra dollars to work with a professional company. My hope is that you will think twice before working with Mike. I don't want anyone to have the same experience that I had. He has shown no integrity during this process and it amazes me that people would conduct business this way.

Beautiful fence design and construction. I recently purchased a new house in the Bridgewater development in Hermitage, TN after having recently moved back to Nashville after 22 years up in Maryland.

I did a search through Citysearch and came across the Artdecko site. Michael provided me with quotes and guidance on various fence construction (all pressure treated, pressure treated posts and support with cedar pickets, and all cedar).

I got a second quote from a company out in Mt Juliet which was $400 more for the same design/requirements.

The Artdecko team showed up on Monday and dug the posts. They came back on Tuesday to put the cedar pickets in and trim it out. They finished the fence gates (metal framed for stability) on Thursday after a day of rain on Wednesday.

They cleaned up their work debris daily and provided a beautiful fence which we will enjoy for years to come.
