Great BBQ and fixin's that's getting even better!

They keep changing the menu and the food quality just keeps getting better....try the new BBQ nachos for a real treat.

Being from Texas, I have eaten at hundred of so called BBQ joints and restaurants, but Famous Dave's is consistently an 8-9 on a scale of 10. The brisket could be better (not moist enough and doesn't have that thick crust and smoke ring) but the entire menu is way above average.....try the new side dish of Mac 'n cheese, WOW!

A friend of mine from out of town was looking for the best hamburger....and Famous Dave's won hands down!

• Pros: Ribs (the best around!) sauces, burgers, slaw, bread pudding
• Cons: Need some grilled seasonal veggies, Brisket is too dry

A lot better than you'd expect from a chain

I really want to hate this place, as I shy away from chain restaurants. The problem is that the food is pretty darn good. The ribs are solid, if not spectacular. Brisket is pretty good, sides are excellent, and the service and atmosphere are both great. Overall, a wonderful meal, though for sheer excellence in bbq, I'd prefer Neely's. Still, if I am anywhere near a Famous Dave's, I am almost certain to drop in. The food really is good. Don't miss the pecan pie or bread pudding. Both are off the charts good.

• Pros: Very solid food. Much better than you'd expect for a chain
• Cons: The atmosphere might seem a little over the top to some, though I like it

Valentine's Day Special

I just found out that Famous Dave's is going to do a Valentines week special on its Feast for 2. i am so psyched! My husband LOVES that place and it will be a great surprise for me to say : hon, this year we're going to YOUR favorite restaurant for Valentines Day!

I look at it like this, skip the candles for me on the table...i'll get them when i get home. This year, i want my hubby to know how much i appreciate his love for me...Famous Dave's will be the perfect treat. That Feast for 2 give you chicken, brisket AND ribs...along with all the sides. How could we go wrong?

• Pros: Lots of Food, Best Flavored BBQ in town!
• Cons: May cost a few more pennies than the rest, but SOOO worth it!
