This place is bad and just got a lot worse.
This place is getting a lot of deserved flak for refusing service to some patrons for being affiliated with Occupy Nashville. (It was caught on video; google it.)
I've never been to an Occupy event but I find this very uncool. Those folks weren't bothering anybody. Some of them have patronized the place peacefully for ages, tipped good money and everything. I don't respect any establishment who excludes any segment of *my* city who pays the tab and follows the rules. I won't be going there again.
Not to mention almost anyone who frequents Lower Broadway will tell you there are better places. This is not merely my opinion but the general feel. Ask around that area if you don't believe me.
What A Fun Place. You have to check out The Full moon. The crowd is great, the music is awsome most especially when Catherine Rainey sits in-what a great voice !!! Had a blast-will be going back for sure-!!
just sayin.... My husband and I went to the full moon saloon a few months ago and saw the Travis Mann Band. I thought the guys in the band were really talented and put on a great show but the lead guitarist was a prick! When it was time to pass around the tip jar for the second time the only cash I had to give was two ones and two dollars in quarters. The lead guitarist took the money and threw the change down on the stage. Then he proceeded to grab the microphone and make an announcement that they did not accept change. Needless to say we left after that with an FU!
great place 2 go. girls weekend out and all us girls went there. It was the best bar in town. We were havin fun and getin crazy. The band was good and the drinks went down fast. I would recommend you stop in and hang out a while. The bartender was awesome. Not 2 crowded and we were able to enjoy ourselves. Thank You for the best girls weekend ever.
No need to step foot in this bar..... My girlfriends and I were bar hopping down Broadway and were having a blast, until we got to the Full Moon Saloon. The music was okay and it's hard to mess up a bottled beer, so that was fine. The problem.....THE OWNER!! He was rude and quite ignorant. He does not know the meaning for the words "customer satisfaction". There are so many wonderful bars with amazing music that I would recommend just walking on by if you come to The Full Moon Saloon. In fact, the Stage which is a couple bars down was far better and the service was great!! So was the music and the clientele was heads above. Don't contribute your hard earned dollars where they are not appreciated!!
Best Music on Broadway!.
It's a honky-tonk with cold beer and awesome music. Travis Mann Band is by far the best I've heard/seen play on Broadway. Its a group of young guys that have fun while they play. They do some covers and some originals, and the one that "kybabe" is talking about is George Jones song "He stopped loving her today" and its hilarious and fun to dance too. Everytime I'm there the dance floor is packed.
Anyone with a mellow attitude and enjoys classic country music with a twist would enjoy this place. Obviously, the bad review is from a crowd of grumpy older people.
Check it out for yourself, I'm sure you will have a blast!
Worst Place on Broadway. The house band was horrible, we asked for country music and they did a rap version of george jones. Besides us 6 there were never more than 2 other people in this bar, The house band Travis mann band said they did no request, they played what they wanted when they wanted, they live there we would be gone in a day or two, swear to god they said that to us. Myself my sis our spouces are all almost 50 my 73 year old Dad was with us, and because we said we would finish our sodas and leave because we thought the band was horrible, a band member grabbed my Dad and pushed him agaisnt the wall, cutting his arm. My Dad and Sis was visiting from Delaware. I live 45 mins from Nashville, I was so embarrassed, the full moon saloon and the travis mann band set the south back 200 years. This is the worst bar on broadway. They portrayed every sterotype except burning a cross in front of us or saying the N word.
a must for good live music.
love this place.
no cover and make sure to check out the travis mann band on the weekends. great rock-a-billy and awesome covers of older country (early johnny cash and elvis' sun records days)
cold beer and friendly staff.
