Tips for Franklin Womens Center Pllc

December 28, 2012

Go somewhere else! My wife and I went there just for them to ruin our entire day. We have never been to an OBGYN that didn't want the husband involved at all until we came here. First they take your wife/partner back before you so that they can take their weight and do a urine test, which was a little frustrating but not to bad. Then they come and get the husband/partner (and as a man I didn't love having a nurse come out and call my name at a GYNECOLOGISTS OFFICE). Then when I was finally with my wife, we met the doctor who didn't tell us ANYTHING about our baby, in fact she forgot that she even checked the heart beat, we had to remind her. She then lectured me and my wife about diet because she thought my wife was gaining weight to fast. This wouldn't be a big deal, but she never actually checked my wife's starting weight and what she weighs now. She just asked my wife who doesn't actually know, because she doesn't look at the scale because she's self conscious, so she just took a guess. My wife weighs about 140 ilbs, and she's eight months pregnant! She is not a big girl! Oh, and the diet she gave my wife was nothing but the Atkins diet, which consists of fatty meats and butter. Then the doctor had me leave just so she could "get to know" my wife's birth canal, and didn't ever invite a nurse in. So it was just my wife and a creepy doctor "getting to know" her birth canal. I am currently filing a complaint to the department of health because of how unprofessional they were and having my wife bottomless with some stranger completely alone.

The only good thing I can say about this place is that one of our nurses was super nice and super sweet. Other than that I advice anyone else to avoid this place like the plague.

Find some other health care provider.. The ancillary staff tells a great deal about a practice.

The receptionist acts like she is doing you a favor when you sign in. There is no sense of humor or sense of trying to alleviate any fears you as a patient may have at this place. The staff members who check your weight and height aloof and clearly indicate they dislike their job. You are asked to give a urine sample and are not given any instructions, but just handed a cup with your name on it. The instructions for giving a clean urine sample are on the back of the bathroom door and the staff says nothing about this. Frankly, they don't care/ What about clean urine catch have you missed? Then you are told to put your sample behind a door in the bathroom. The staff member who handed me my urine cup acted insulted when I corrected the pronunciation of my last name. The office ambience is outdated.

The only positive remark is : the doctor and nurse that I saw were very nice. This is after you deal with the ancillary staff. However, I had to ask to see a physician after dealing with nurse practitioners for two years which I felt were forced on me when I went to this clinic. This must be about saving money, ya' think? There is something better than this place in Nashville. Overall: outdated , makes the patient feel like yet another rat on a wheel.

Love them!. I have been a patient for many years and I always feel as if I am treated well. I will admit that they are a very busy practice, but no matter what doctors office I go to now days I have to wait. I just take a book and relax. It's just part of life.

Stay Away. Dr. ykes basically took us to the cleaners for a meet and greet. I am almost on the verge of not paying it at all. It was a 20 min meet and greet and they wanted us to pay 160 and charged our insurance. So since I have an HSA I pay most of it and notice the overcharge. When I confronted them about the issue, they basically said, we can knock it down a level to a level 3. $91 after insurance. No wonder ins. is so high. I would find people who will meet for free!
