A Book-Lovers Book Store. I love the way this bookstore looks, feels, and smells. If you're a true book-lover, you'll understand the "smells." Calling it a book "store" almost feels rude. It's more like a private library. Ever wander around a friend's grandma's house and came across a great stash of books she'd been keeping since she was a child? That's this place. As for the owners, they know (and love) their books! And, personally, I very much appreciate and prefer a dry sense of humor. But, then, I think you have to possess a higher-than-average level of intelligence to "get" sarcasm for its comedic value. The owners will take good care of you, help you in any way they can, and make you wish all bookstores were like Landmark.

A great place for books. I find it amazing the 1st reviewer can't recognize a facetious remark! Besides this is his business not a public restroom!

I found this store to be well laid out, clean, with a good selection and good pricing.

In addition they also own a warehouse full of unsorted and lesser value books, magazines, newspapers.

The owner was very personable and I had a great time there. Bought 6 books and he then gave me another!

They also had a special going so I got some really good deals.

If you are serious about books this is a place I would recommend.

If you are a browser, try the public library, they have a bathroom too!

very rude owner. My wife and I visited this bookstore during the Pumpkin Festival. As we both enjoy reading, we wanted to check the place out while we were in downtown Franklin. We really did not have any intentions of buying or not buying anything. Had something caught our eye at what we considered a reasonable price we would have bought it. After browsing the selection for 20-30 minutes, my wife and I both needed to use the restroom. A man walked over while we were standing in line to use the restroom and began complaining about the line. I went into the restroom at about this time and after exiting the restroom he was still there complaining. It didn't take long before I realized that it was the owner of the bookstore. He asked me if I was going to be one of those people that came into the bookstore to use the restroom and not buy anything. I told him that I guess I was going to be one of those people but that I hadn't come into the store for the purpose of using the restroom. He told me that I could leave $10 at the checkout when I left. I don't think I've ever been treated so rudely in a business. I realize it must be frustrating when people are using your business as a place to use the restroom, but I can't imagine it is a very good business practice to be such a jerk to potential customers. We will never go back.

Great Place to go While Waiting for Riff Burgers. I was waiting for some friends to meet me at Riff Burgers & they were running late so i went into Landmark Books which was a block (not even) away on Main.

It was in the coolest old building and really nice! got a childrens book for my niece in the childrens room. Fun!
