Consistently Excellent. Recommended to me by a native of Thailand, my first experience with Thai Kitchen made me feel like I was "in the know" on an insider's secret. Three and a half years later, I see the restaurant as the American dream. The family that owns Thai Kitchen works hard and are so proud of their restaurant. Over the years they have accumulated new menus, tables, and decor, yet it is still the same hole-in-the-wall that I loved when I first started going.

The first thing you should know about Thai Kitchen is the most obvious thing about it - it is a Thai restaurant! Don't be "that guy" and order the General Tso's chicken or some other chinese dish... if you want that you can get it in any chinese food place in Nashville. Scrape the surface and thats where you'll find the real gem behind Thai Kitchen. The chicken pad thai ($5), the basil chicken w/ egg (aka Cra Pao Gai Sub - $6), and the multitudes of other Thai dishes they serve - those are the real reasons to eat at Thai Kitchen.

So please, I encourage everyone to broaden their horizons and try something different at Thai Kitchen. I recommend the two dishes afore mentioned, but it is my hope that others who review will share their favorite dishes as well. This is a wonderful restaurant and a true gem of Nashville.

Pros: Amazing thai food, great prices, family run, the two new-ish chefs are realllly good, the sugar, peanuts, dried chili peppers, and jalapenos you can take to your table.

Cons: The menu doesnt do the restaurant justice. They depend too much on people ordering the staple chinese food on the menu hung behind the counter, but they should really expound on the paper menu at the register.

Great food, mom & pop feel. I have eatten at Thai Kitchen several times and have loved every experience. The food is consistently good - I always know exactly what I am going to get. It's staffed by two Thai women who are super-friendly and helpful. Their lunch special of $4.75 (entree + egg roll) can't be beat! I usually have left overs to take home because the portions are ample. I highly recommend Thai Kitchen for a great deal, excellent food quality and the down home feel.

Best Thai in Nashville, Great customer service, Cheap. Being a native of Thailand, I can assure you that this is DEFINITELY the best Thai food in Nashville! Plenty of variety and offers many dishes other Thai restaurants here simply do not have (i.e. fried eggs with sweet garlic and cilantro sauce, duck curry). And all for an excellent deal --- lunch specials Monday-Friday are only $4.75 and include your choice of entree and an eggroll! Plus, it is family run and the atmosphere is simple and homey so it's really wonderful when you're not in the mood to feel pressured to dress up and go to a pretentious place. Don't go expecting anything fancy in terms of restaurant decor, but visit this place when you want authentic Thai cuisine at an incredibly cheap price and...large portions! I always have leftovers. HIGHLY recommended!! I take my friends here all the time.
