Great color and cut!!. I love the salon Shine, the atmosphere is friendly and fun. It's very relaxing, and I love the fact that they don't juggle clients, yet they always seem to find a way to fit me in. I always love my cut and color and Melanie ROCKS!!!

very average. Being new in town, I decided to try Shine based on the excellent reviews. Suzanne was booked for months, however, so I let them pick a stylist for me.

The salon was nice, but the area around my stylist's chair was not cleaned before I arrived, nor was it cleaned at any point during my visit. There was a LOT of hair. This may have been because my stylist was sick and didn't feel like cleaning up. She said she felt like she had the flu. I wish she would've just postponed our appt.

My haircut was fine. She offered no suggestions on anything new, so I just went with a very basic cut. I then had a single-process color that, again, was fine. Definitely not the best I've had. I spent nearly $200 and it was not worth that. I won't be going back.

My color rocks!. OK, the search is over. I have found my stylist for life. Fred Frisch has nailed my color. I have hard hair to work on, and he is not only a great colorist, but is the only one who has been able to style my hair. No more re-wash/style when I leave the salon. YEAAAH! Finding someone to trust has given me peace of mind... Shine's staff were great, too. I had a thousand questions when trying to figure out who to see, and they took the time to make sure it was a good fit. Overall a fantastic experience.

Best Stylists and Salon in Town...Hands down!!. As always, Suzanne and Shine exceed our expectations! I've been a loyal client for years and have introduced new clients who have been overwhelmed by the difference between Shine and other places. I've not been disappointed by Shine and never expect to be!! Besides a great men's cut, my wife's hair is always just what she wants (which isn't always easy!!)!! Shine really shines!!!

Disappointment. Really disappointed with this salon. I decided to try this place but I'll never go back. Something was just off about the place. Hate my haircut because it's the complete opposite from what I wanted. How "keeping the length, long layers" turned into a shoulder length bob is beyond me. Now I have to grow out my hair so I can get a decent haircut at salon I have been a loyal customer at before this experimental visit. There are much better places in Nashville, I'd name the salon I'm a client of, but I won't.

My new salon!!. My husband has had Susanne cutting his hair for years and constantly tried to get me try Shine, but you know how it is when the same person has done your hair for 10+ years....FINALLY, I agreed, and I'll never go anywhere else!! The salon is modern but comfy, very friendly, and I love that there's never any extra waiting for your stylist! I should've listened to him long ago, Shine is definitely my new salon!

World class styling, personal touch. I've followed Suzanne for years because my hair is not easy to cut well. I'd follow her to outer Siberia if she opened a salon there. She's a very thoughtful and talented stylist who has assembled an equally great team.

The decor is cool, the service is fast and friendly. But most of all the technical skill and styling they bring to your look can't be beat anwhere!

Highly recommended.

Best Hair Color & Stylists...Superb Environment!. Fred Frisch has been my stylist/colorist since I moved back home to Nashville from New York City 4 years ago! I am a brunette and we all know this is the most difficult color to perfect. Finally I have bonded with someone who understands my goals and can handle those visits when I am unsure of my next move, and feeling ambivalent towards my style/color. At this point, I trust him whole heartedly!

Susanne Shepard cuts the best long bangs in the whole world in about 10 seconds!

Kelly Mason's clients walk out looking gorgeous and he offers wonderful product advice!

Jen styled my hair for an event and I looked like myself.....very hard to do!

What I'm trying to convey is at Shine, the customer ends up having a relationship with more than one person. The salon is friendly, not intimidating, and I look forward to getting my hair done every time!

It also doesn't hurt that Brady Wardlaw works there on Fridays...you can't have good hair and ignore your eyebrows.

You can't go wrong at Shine!. No matter which stylist you book with at Shine, you are going to get a great haircut! The salon is bright and airy with a casual yet elegant vibe. Stylists are friendly and talented, and the salon carries an excellent line of products. Highly recommended!
