huge disappointment

Seems like no one has reviewed Parisa's in a long time. I loved this place the first time I went there. After tonight, I am revolted. Everything was bad. The bread was stale, the meat tasted so wrong that we couldn't swallow it and the other entree was swimming in oil. On a positive note, our waiter was extremely nice.
Great Persian Food and atmosphere!

I've been meaning to try this Persian restaurant for the last few months and finally got the chance to last weekend.
GREAT great food, very well made and very authentic! One of the greatest things about Persian cooking, besides the taste, is the aromas and I wasn't disappointed as soon as I walked in the door.
The owner is a very kind and sweet person, that took the time to talk with us and give us all sorts of information.
My favorites are the kabobs, it's truly the best I've ever had at a restaurant and also the Fesenjan, it's just like my mother would make!
You have to go and experience the belly dancers on the weekends... it's a complete treat!
- Pros: food, atmosphere, service, price
- Cons: no big sign out front
Parisa: Iran's best ambassador!

Parisa's is a joy, and an asset to the Woodbine community. You might never find it unless you already know about it, their signage is terribly small... but from the moment you walk in, wow!
Its decor is gorgeous-- the owners painted and decorated it themselves, and it is elegant indeed. The service is very attentive, and the food is always freshly prepared, imaginative and tasty. The kubideh, the kabobs and the stews are some of the most delicate ethnic cuisine around. Very refined and delicious dishes abound on the menu. They also have fantastic desserts.
The only thing I didn't care for that I have tried on my many visits is called "Doog," a kind of salty milk-shake. Yecch. Definitely a Persian acquired taste!
I love Parisa, and I hope it thrives. Please go try it! Go on an evening with belly-dancing for a cultural treat!
