36.152747 -86.848848We stop in for lunch usually once a month. My husband likes the meatball sub, I really like the pasta salad. Our son loves the cheese pizza, have not tried the gelato yet but we plan to do that on our next visit.
Disappointing !!. So disappointed in our meal tonight. Only good thing was the salad. Appetizer was C- One of the entrees was beyond bad and not hot. One was fair. Service was lacking and the whole night was inconsistent and frustrating. We ate there for first time earlier this month and enjoyed our food very much. This was like a different place tonight. Both times the service was slow, but tonight was a completely disappointing experience and we won't be returning. Not sure if anyone was in charge and maybe that was a big part of everything going wrong.
My new favorite eatery!. I just ate there this afternoon and was totally won over by the food. This was absolutely the best Italian food I have ever had. I ordered meals to go, and my husband was also delighted with the food. Great food, good prices - I will be back soon. I really hate to publish this review; I don't want the place to become too crowded. But, the food is too good to keep it a secret.
not impressed with meat and cheese selections. just left the new coco's, after the fire, and was very dissapointed. Before the fire I was buying real pepperoni, great cheese...today they had only some jersey Mike version of pepperoni and they had NO romano cheese in the place. How can an italian store not have a wheel of Romano somewhere. I realize the fire has made things difficult for them but even with the olives they sell...$9.99 per pound...feels like buying that stuff at Publix. I was in Cleveland recently and the same olive mix and veggie mix is $3.99 per pound. Shipping cannot be that expensive!
Solid food, good prices..
This place has NO pretensions and delivers solid food and service consistently. Whether I'm buying a yummy cheese for a party spread or a quick bite, Coco's Italian Market never lets me down. I'm not saying the food blows me out of the park, but it is fast, easy, and relatively healthy. It is also reasonably priced.
The service is also good. I go here with my laptop to work and my drink is always filled, despite the fact that I eat like a bird. I order off the children's menu and none of the adult staff judge me for it... in turn i enjoy taking care of them by tipping on what an adult should eat.
Here's the bottom line: don't go here expecting the world, but if you need a yummy meal for a reasonable price (a tall order in Nashville, to be sure), i highly recommend going here, and often. the people who run this place are solid and friendly and they deserve your patronage. Good business people deserve good patrons.
Horrible... hope it has changed.... I ate here not long after they opened and the food was terrible. Some cook who looked like he just crawled out of a dumpster came and talked to us in his filthy t-shirt and dirty hands and told us some weird unsolicited comments about how they would never serve anything spoiled there. Then he recommended some sort of Italian meat loaf. You guessed it. It was spoiled. They had tried to season it so you couldn't tell, but the rancidness of this dish stank through whatever wretched band aid they put on it. I hope they have improved, but I for one, will never eat at this dump again.
the better part of my diet for the last 2 years.
I'm not kidding either... I've been a customer and fan of
the Italian Market since Cafe Coco took over. I mean this when I say, that this restaurant is the best little secret in Nashville. I gotta admit though, nowadays it's becoming less and less of a secret. The lunch time rush is bustling and booming like any of your other favorites, and even with the crowd, you never have to worry about great service and a smiling face. I've never had a problem with service, so I don't understand the other people's problems, but if that "was" a problem, then I can assure you the current wait staff will wipe those memories away. Very knowledgeable and courteous. I appreciate being able to say "What do you think I should get?" and getting an answer that is honest and earnest.
and I haven't even said a thing about Head Chef Paul, he is, in my opinion, one of the best chef's in the city. If you think I'm wrong, drop by and let him prove it for me. The nightly dinner specials alone make me want to come back, as my normal visits are in the lunchtime hour.
A really cool time, amazing Sunday brunch, great staff, 5 star chef, and a pizza that my son calls "Nashville Pizza". It's that good! Certainly the best restaurant in the West Nashville area. In my opinion the best in the city, but go ahead try it for yourselves...
can't wait to go back!. On a whim, I purchased a groupon to CoCo's having never heard of it or been there. We finally went Sunday because it was expiring the next day- I'm so glad we went! We were there for Sunday brunch and it was amazing. Delicious! Flavorful, just perfect! I can't wait to return for dinner sometime very soon!
Coco's Italian Market & Eatery.
Looking forward to my next visit to Cocos!!
I heard they had really good Italian wine.
Let me tell you what is!. I enjoy taking my wife out to dinner at locally run restaurants and shops and our first time at the Market was very enjoyable. The service was excellent considering that the house was packed for the Pint & Pie night. But it's about the food for me so let me tell you what is. Our meal started with the Bruschetta and it was a magnificent start to our meal. It was so flavorful that it had us anxiously expecting our main dishes. Our main dishes consisted of the Bolognese, for me, and Cinelli's Parmesan for my wife. The fresh pepper pasta was surrounded by a delectable bolognese sauce, instantly my favorite dish. My wife said that eggplant and pasta combination was light and the sauce absolutely delicious too. She stated she cannot wait to try everything else on the menu if it all tastes this good. I cannot wait to make the Market a monthly event for me and my wife. The only problem we had was that we did save room for dessert, they even let my wife try her first cannoli. She killed it. I to tell you our server was extraordinary and I highly recommend him, so when you go to dinner ask for Eddie. He will take care of you. That is what is.
