Great Sushi !. I love sushi ! They make their sushi fresh, I even got to watch them make it. I normally go with friends. Ya it is kind of pricey but hey I love sushi. I will be honest it was the first Chinese place I went to that had an eel roll. I love to try new things. I would go just for the sushi, you can get all the other stuff at a normal Chinese restaurant. They do have crab legs, all you can eat. They also have a bar, which is nice especially when I am out with my friends. Normally when I go, it is so packed with people it is unbelievable. I have been to busy places before but nothing really like this. I have only had to wait one time and it was like 15 minutes. They have a lot of seating. They offer hot tea too ! They have duck, which I tried for the first time there. I normally don't see duck on any menu. Everything that was suppose to be hot was hot and everything that was suppose to be cold was cold. I love it and will continue to go get sushi there. The buffet is awesome !

Think before you type...... It is quite inconsiderate to write your unintelligent comment badmouthing a place where people earn their living. I have worked at Chef Wang's for 3 years, and happen to love the place and the people I work for. If you do not want to pay full buffet price for a take out, that is why we have a take out MENU. This allows the customer to choose which dish they would like, and is priced accordingly. Also, as many times as I have eaten the food there, I have never gotten sick off of it. I am sure some may have had a bad experience, but that is with ANY restaurant. Not just Chef Wang's. And I happen to know well that "Chef Wang" as you call him.....is very loyal to his customers and his employees. Unless you are in his face telling him he is running his business incorrectly. What business owner needs or wants to hear that? The business is running to make a profit, and it is not up to the customer to decide how he/she thinks this profit should be earned. There is logic behind why things are done the way they are done. I realize this site is to inform consumers about businesses, but in the future, you should probably consider how many people you could be HURTING (my income) by posting these comments, just because you want to rant when things don't go your way.

Looks can be deceiving.... My family and I relocated to Murfreesboro from Florida. After many recommendations from neighbors and friends, we visited Chef Wang's on Mother's Day 2008 with great anticipation and expectations. It was not fun to wait over an hour...standing in the lobby especially with two little ones, but we hung in there. The parking lot was totally full...with lots of customers inside eating and waiting...so we figure it must be a great restaurant...a great place to celebrate Mother's Day...this would be a great eating experience. Well, looks can be deceiving. My husband and I both became very ill within three days of eating there. The atmosphere was nice, but being very ill for nearly three weeks totally turned us off on all asian cuisine and buffets.

Best Chinese Restaurant I've Ever Been To. Atmosphere - Chef Wangs is a wonderful place for a casual lunch, romantic dinner, or family outing. The service is friendly and accomidating.

Time - You may have to wait to be seated. This is mainly true on weekend nights and lunch hour. However, once seated service is quick and you can immediatly go to the food bar or habachi grill.

Cost - On an average weekday in the afternoon prices are around $10 per adult. After 4:00 pm and weekend prices can climb much higher.

Food - They have an amazing variety of food. This ranges from many kinds of seafood, pizza and mac & cheese, chinese food, sushi, and salads. The food on the bar is typically good, though I would stay away from the chinese food there, unless you like bland, greesy chinese. If you like flavor and want garenteed freshness, go to the habachi bar. The meats are always well cut, with no mystery pieces.

Outstanding buffet. Great price.. Very surprised with the quality of food and low price. Large selection of food ranging from traditional chinese cuisine to raw oysters, sushi, and hibachi grill. Food trays always seem to be filled. Food is very tasty. Quick service.
