HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
My husband bought a groupon for this spa and I was extremely excited to go. Key word: was. After calling to schedule an appointment for a body wrap, I was told they were booked solid, but I could be waitlisted. I was fine with that, but wanted to confirm an actual appointment and Nathaly (sp) told me I could NOT do that. WHAT IN THE WORLD?!
Since I was NOT called, apparently because I didn't get to get in, I tried AGAIN to make an actual appointment. The result? I'm surprised these people are STILL in business since they DO NOT answer the phone. I suppose the first time I actually spoke with someone was a rarity. And even though the message states to leave a message, NO ONE EVER CALLED ME BACK!
Money wasted! Though they may truly be a good spa, I wouldn't know. And to be honest, I don't think I want to waste my time OR additional money to find out!
This "spa" gives a very questionable impression from the start. It's dingy location is neither welcoming nor comforting.
I had purchased a Living Social deal for a pumpkin peel facial valued at $180, which "includes a pre-peel facial, an after-peel fruit mask, plus a $20 gift card for additional services."
I called and spoke with the owner, Martha, to set up the appointment, then checked in with her when I arrived. It wasn't until she had me ready to go on the table that she told me she would not do the pumpkin peel facial without additional services. I told her I just wanted what I had already purchased. She insisted there was no point in doing the pumpkin peel facial without doing an additional facial first, to prepare the skin for the pumpkin peel treatment. She was very insistent and rather aggressive. I conceded, feeling uncomfortable about having to pay an additional and unanticipated $70 for this treatment.
I thought I would at least get an exceptional experience, for this additional facial on top of my original treatment, which was supposed to include a pre-peel facial anyhow, but at the end, all I could think was, "this is it"? I was extremely disappointed.
When I went to check out, I let Martha know I felt deceived about purchasing something when she expected the customers to pay for additional treatments and uncomfortable about having to pay more money. She became very aggressive, loud, and belligerent. She was unprofessional and made my entire experience, frankly, awful.
I would not recommend this seedy and deceitful spa to anyone.

Nataly and Martha are a mother and daughter team and do fantastic work. Rocio is the massage therapist and is all about healing and the focus is always on the client and making them feel better.
Nataly takes her job very seriously and goes the extra mile for all her clients. She is a mine of information and she gets such Joy in helping her clients to achieve their goals. Nataly researches in her spare time to make sure she has all the facts and information that she needs to give the client the best possible service. She is goal-oriented and keeps her eye on that long-termgoal at all times.
All three ladies are a pleasure with whom to interact; three ladies working hard and bringing fun into the environment and helping all clients to realize that the spa is the much-needed downtime that we all need. They put 100% of their effort and heart into allowing the client to de-tress and reconnect with themselves for the duration of the spa treatment. It's their priority; that and delievering the best service possible.
I look forward to my weekly visits where I am guaranteed results and satisfaction!
Wonderful services and great prices. If you are thinking about doing the body contour wrap, especially after having children or weight loss, DO IT! I could never get these results without surgery. It is not a gimmick. It really does work. I also highly recommend eyelash tinting. Don't have to worry about itchy watery allergy eyes. You can rub your eyes without smearing mascara. Also look great while at the beach. Customer service is wonderful along with great prices!
Great bang for your buck!. I bought a Groupon offering $90 worth of services for $40. I chose a 60 minute aromatherapy massage. Two days later, I friended them on facebook and won a free facial. The ladies I encountered (Rocio and Nathaly) were professional and friendly. The place was clean. The only thing I would have changed was to have the lights dimmed during my massage. Everything else was lovely. :)
SCAM COMPANY WHO GIVES DISCOUNTS FOR GOOD REVIEWS!!!.
First of all, don't trust the reviews here since they actually take $15 off at least for people who write a positive review.
Here's my story: I purchased a gift card for my mom for $200 back in December of 2009. My mom went in and bought something a few months ago and asked how much was left on her card and they said $156. She called before she went in too because she was wanted to make sure they accepted gift cards after a year. The lady said, "oh yeah, that's not a problem at all." My mom went in today and got a $250 facial and when she was checking out, they told her there was NO MONEY at all left on the card. She argued with them, but finally paid it herself with money she really didn't have. I called them shortly after and they said they "found" her money in their system and would refund $56.50 to her debit card. I said it should be $156.50 and they said that after a year they subtract half of the gift card amount from the gift card.
I couldn't believe they said that they took off half of the gift card amount after one year, which comes out to be $100 in this case!!! I was stunned!
They wouldn't budge on the issue and just said that their policy is in their website. I told them that when someone gets a gift card, if you have a policy where money will be taken off, it should be written on the gift card or provided with it upon purchase. Who would expect someone to get online and read about it. I was talking with a woman on the phone and she kept talking over me and being extremely rude. I could hardly get a word in and finally SHE HUNG UP ON ME - This company has a major lack of integrity.
Remember that my mom had even called to make sure it was okay that the gift card was over a year old and they said it was "fine, not a problem at all".
Also, my mom brought in some canned goods for 20% off and they wouldn't take it off because she bought a package deal (yeah, a $250 rip-off facial package, but that's a whole other story!). They don't take two promotions at a time they said. They didn't even give her the cans back. I am just amazed at their lack of integrity.
I have been here several times as well and they have messed up my gift card saying that I don't have any money left, soon to find out that I have $60 left on it (because I persisted).
Please be careful with this company. I would suggest finding a better, more reputable company. Even the building looks shady.
Their body wraps really work!. My wedding is coming up and I have been wanting to tone up a little, so she suggested I see the girls at Skin & Beyond Day Spa for a body wrap. I was so surprised of how well their wrap worked. I lost a total of 22 inches all over and their take home product smells great and feels great on my skin. The place is really cute too (from the inside) don't judge the outside... it will surprise you! Definately will visit them again!

I actually had 2 good experiences with the younger lady when I got a facial and a massage - I even upgraded both times. I also scheduled another facial with her (which I ended up canceling due to the owner's attitude). But everything had gone EXACTLY as scheduled on the first 2 visits.
But, if you have any problems with trying to reschedule an appointment., watch out! I had a pedicure scheduled and called to see if I could reschedule due to a conflict. She said I could, but she would charge me a late fee of $25.00. Now, my husband already paid for the pedicure, but I would pay $25.00 more. I asked her to reconsider She wouldn't and I told her to cancel my appt....due to their lack of flexibility as things DO happen on occasion and I had never missed an appointment or been late before and upgraded services on each visit. She said "We don't want a client like you to come here anyway; we only what clients who value us". That value thing works both ways.
Finally Pampering That is Worth Every Penny!!. My husband bought me a 90-minute massage from Skin & Beyond for a mother's day gift. I'd never been there before and I'm always a bit leery of going to a new spa. I'm not sure how he found this place but it's a gem!!! Not only is the staff so sweet and helpful but three cheers for Vivian my massage therapist! She took what i wrote down as the areas i wanted to focus on and gave me the best massage ever! If you are looking for a little piece of heaven---call Skin & Beyond Day Spa. I'm going back!!!
very relaxing back facial. I've had a little breakout going on my back from stress i believe. So I headed to Skin & Beyond to get a back facial. Never had one before, so i did not know what to expect. They took me upstairs to the very relaxing room. After looking at my back the therapist suggested a deep pore cleansing back facial and it was very relaxing with all the different products and masks they put on my back. Very soothing, all their products smelled so nice. My back looks better and I will come back to get more back facials. They even gave me a free hand and arm massage!
